Omega Releases New James Bond Seamaster “Skyfall” Limited Edition (Video)
You knew it was coming… as inevitable as James Bond seducing a femme fatale and ordering a shaken-not-stirred martini, Omega has launched its latest limited-edition Seamaster watch in anticipation of this fall’s long-awaited new Bond film, Skyfall. Bond, who was famously a Rolex wearer in the original novels by Ian Fleming, has been an Omega man in his big-screen incarnation since 1995’s Goldeneye, in which Pierce Brosnan, debuting in the role of Agent 007, wore an Omega Seamaster Pro. Both Brosnan and his successor, Daniel Craig, have worn Omega models in every Bond movie since. (In fact, in 2006’s Casino Royale, the first movie with Craig in the lead role, Bond even corrects his female companion, Vesper Lind, who mistakes his Omega for a Rolex.) As it has done on several occasions since 2002 (the 40th anniversary of the Bond Bond films), Omega is releasing a limited-edition watch to accompany the latest film Craig’s third installment as Bond and the se
Fiona Krger Celebration Skull Watch
When we first brought you a hands-on impression of the original watches Fiona Krger was creating, Ariel mentioned that the pieces were very reminiscent of the skeletons you see associated with "Day of the Dead," or Da de Muertos. The exception, to my eyes, was the fact that they were rather monochromatic. Now, I'm not a necessarily a celebrant of that day, but it calls to mind something very vividly colored. With her latest model, the Fiona Krger Celebration Skull, that's all changed. As you can see by these photos, the Fiona Krger Celebration Skull very much hews to the aesthetic of the celebration. It follows the basic geometry established in the earlier watches, and adds the use of colorful lacquer (and superluminova) to the three-layer dial. For me, this sort of juxtaposition of lively color and the epitome of mortality (a skull) is something I can certainly appreciate, though it's not a theme I personally am drawn to.The Fiona Krger Celebration Skull also marks the first time
Panerai market
Is it worth purchasing one? Will it hold it's value? I understand the whole if you like it just get it.. but I like to buy on a policy of not losing money when I know I won't have it forever more than likely. Look forward to hearing your opinions.
Pre Ceramic Submariner v Milgauss
I am in the search for my first Rolex and I am trying to decide between a Submariner and Milgauss (White Dial) i am leaning towards the Milgauss because it is different and you don't see aof if then in the wild especially the with the white dial. But my concern is the fact that they are unpopular and not sure if the value will hold up. The submariner I think may be the smarter choice but is pretty common. This will probably be my first and only rolex so the decision is pretty difficult. Opinions please and thank you.
Will Tudor Black Bay or Tudor Heritage Chrono bracelet fit the Black Bay 41?
Hi all, I recently picked up a BB41 without the bracelet and really like it. Rather than pick up a bracelet separately, I am thinking it might make more sense to pick up a Tudor Heritage Chrono or maybe a red bezel Black Bay to switch out the bracelet from time to time between the two watches.Does anyone know if either of these bracelets will fit the Black Bay 41 (hopefully and preferably the THC)Oh, and a picture of my BB41.Thanks!Greg Sent from my LG-H830 using Tapatalk
