Watches NEWS
Introducing: The NOMOS Tetra Neomatik, Now In 33mm With DUW3001 Movement
Last year at Baselworld, NOMOS released the new Neomatik DUW 3001 movement, which is now appearing in a range of their watches. This year NOMOS has decided to apply this very thin, automatic movement to the Tetra series while increasing the size of the case from 27 mm (or 29.5 mm) to 33 mm. 1 OF 2 The Tetra series, signified by its square case and range of colorful dials, has been a staple for the company but, until now, was only suitable for those who prefer a 27 mm or 29.5 mm case size. The movement is only 3.2 mm thick and gracefully fits into the equally thin square case. 2 OF 2 Additionally the dial has been updated with a new recessed subsidiary seconds dial, shortened Arabic numerals, and a five-minute indication on the outer minute track.Overall, this alteration is a welcome addition to the NOMOS Tetra family. More information on the NOMOS Tetra here. Be sure to follow us on HODINKEE Live while we are at Baselworld.
I'm a lucky boy - again!! (15400 Content)
Well, my significant birthday finally arrived - and so the safe was opened and my darling wife finally allowed me access to the fabulous present she bought for me now almost 6 months ago in preparation for today! It doesn't get much better than this! Enjoying a fabulous trip with my wonderful wife and an amazing new piece to add to the collection - a collection which is actually diminishing as I pare down to just a few really special pieces - a Messi, this wonderful new 15400, an Explorer II , and a Tanatlium Panerai. Not a bad collection I think, and a good place to stick. I'm both a lucky and a happy man.Happy New Year to all!
Royal Oak 15400 - DSLR Daytime Shots
I got some time today to spare so I whipped out my Nikon DSLR and tripod and started to shoot these. Almost all of my shots of the AP RO15400 that I posted in this forum have been captured with my Galaxy Note mobilephone cam so far. It's surprising how clear and sharp the pictures often turn out to be. Yet, as good as camera-phones have generally improved, it's still not adequate enough to challenge DSLR for really detailed close-up shots or low-lighting shots. Such as this : As a recent watch collector, I see my timepieces as not just mere watches but work of art that I can wear on my wrist, which especially in Haute Holorogie timepieces like Audemars Piguet, they are all finely crafted and meticulously furnished for our enjoyment. This is my 4th album of this watch and the first to use only DSLR. It's shot mostly with my Nikon D5100 at aperture setting f/16 and ISO 1600, with a Nikkor 105mm micro-lens. These shots are then fine tuned in Picasa. So let's get started. First some monoch

Thanks to Train-time or i would never have found such a great deal from an AD...I will get better shots later when I get a new lamp I ordered...I cant tell you how nice this is, when you wind the crown it feels like silk...The bracelet is so complicated it took my local guy 30 minutes to size it, very complicated but very very nice...
Rolex Green vs Blue Selections (Photo)
