Buying in Europe v Trusted Seller
Hello all i've been researching buying an AP for some time now and am trying to figure out whether or not to pick one up from a trusted seller or wait until I travel to Europe to pick one up. Since the Euro and Dollar are trading close it seems like there is a shot that you could go to Europe and pick up a brand new AP RO from close to the same you could get a used or BNIB from a trusted seller here? Anyone have any experience or know of pricing and discounts available in europe? Side note: I searched the forum for this subject and did not see anything so if this has been answered before I apologize for making a redundant post.

Hi there !I went to my local AP store to test and feel a Royal Oak Chronograph, silver dial.It was $23,000 and something (I forgot)..., anyway, I was very happy with the weight, looks and finish, way beyond from what I'm used from Rolex.It was all good and dandy untill I wore the watch, you swing sideways and up and down your arm to make the watch confortable on the wrist until 'ping!' A stinging sharp pain on the wrist, and another one, and another one ... The sales person knew I was in pain due to my bulging eyes look and quickly added, I know, is and issue with that bracelet, it does pull your wrist hairs, but, we also have the same watch with the leather option or you can wear it and wait until it pull the hairs that are on the wrist and then you will be fine of course we are friends and these were jokes only meant for me! 5131 - what's the best way of getitng one?
I met my friend and her family for brunch today. Her dad is a huge Patek collector (gets invited to those dinners T Stern holds every year in Asia), and he was wearing his 5131j. I've never seen one in real life before that.I never quite understood the hype surrounding the 5131 before this, but now that I've seen it, I've decided that some form of leather strapped 5131 (don't mind gold or plat) will be my next watch.The question is, with the 5131r being discontinued as of this March, what's the best way to get one? Wait for the successor of 5131 once the 5131p is discontinued, or hunt the resell? I don't mind waiting a couple of years.
