Jaeger-LeCoultre Celebrates 100 Years of Aston-Martin with Three New Watches
In a stroke of serendipity, 2013 marks both the 180th anniversary of Swiss watch brand Jaeger-LeCoultre and the 100th anniversary of British luxury automaker Aston-Martin, Jaeger-LeCoultre’s partner for nearly a decade in the development of special, luxury-auto-inspired timepieces. The new timepieces comprise two from JLC’s Master collection, the Master Compressor Extreme W-Alarm and Master Hometime; and one from the AMVOX collection, the AMVOX5 World Chronograph Cermet, which marks the debut of a new case material. The Master Compressor Extreme W-Alarm Aston Martin combines a world-time display with a mechanical alarm function. The time on the alarm can be read easily on the left-hand side of the dial at 9 o’clock, where two juxtaposed disks, one displaying the hours from 1 to 12 and the other showing the quarter-hours, appear through a large, semicircular aperture. AP boutique in Beijing china
Was in Beijing China last week and visited the AP boutique. They have all the new pieces available. One thing I found out is that they offer 8 years warranty and with 9% VAT refund, seems like pretty good deal. Also, there used to be 3-4 ADs in the city, and they were all closed. I guess AP has begun to aggressively implementing their new strategy of closing down ADs and opening their own boutiques.
15202st vs 15202or vs 15305st
Hey guys so my 39mm Panda Dial ROC was my first nice watch and I have always thought of it as a keeper. However, service is due next year and come to think of it, I have rarely worn the watch at all since my collection has grown a lot in the past 2-3 years due to the fact that the single fold clasp is extremely uncomfortable for my wrist. I'm considering replacing it with one of the three choices listed above and would like to hear thoughts on which you all prefer. The replacement has to be a Royal Oak for me because it is what got me interested in horology in the first place. Also versatility is not a concern for me as this will be in rotation with a other watches. Thanks in advance!
Right in time for Christmas! Vintage Omega Seamaster
Needs an overhaul, but I like it. Every time I pull out the crown to try setting the time, the second hand goes crazy and haywire. Quite dusty and gunky:Movement is rough:This is the part that keeps spinning when I set the time, I don't think that's normal.
