SIHH: Jaeger-LeCoultre Duom��tre �� Quanti��me Lunaire
For 2010 Jaeger-LeCoultre expands the Duom��tre family with the addition of the 42mm Duom��tre �� Quanti��me Lunaire. This piece displays time with a jumping foudroyante seconds hand showing 1/6th of a second increments, along with the date and the age of the moon. The “dual-wing” movement features two independent power supplies: one regulated by the escapement and balance, and the other for the time, date and age of the moon displays. The dual-wing architecture bypasses the problem of additional complications affecting the smooth flow of power to the escapement, and so allows precise timekeeping even in a very complicated watch. Bumblebee on Survivor Hornback = Bad to the bone
Finally got around to putting the Survivor hornback strap on my BB. It's rather stiff at the moment but should get more pliable over time. It's a great strap... AP Hornbacks are very well constructed. The strap gives the watch a very different vibe. Whereas the rubber strap imbued a sportiness to the BB, this strap is just sinister looking IMO. I like it!

Omega Speedmaster Water resistance and test??
Looking at an Omega Speedmaster. Manual wind with see through back. 50 meter water resistance. How wil it hold up for surface swimming, doing laps in a pool. Also, OMega Brochure states when originally designed it passed 11 sringent test from NASA. Does anyone know what these test where?

Incoming 5524G
Today I got the call and was excited to pick this up right before Christmas. Sourcing this was much easier than expected and took just under one week from request to delivery. I had mentioned to my AD a few months ago that I would like one whenever they got one in, but I was buying a Christmas present for my wife this past Thursday in the store and said that I wanted it for sure. Since one hadn't come into the store, I asked if they could source it for me. I went home, and 3 hours later I got a call to say one would be delivered the following week. I was surprised when it arrived today to have my information already printed on the certificate of origin as I have never had one done that way before but it was a nice touch. The watch is just stunning. Its way heaver that I thought it would be (in a good way) and it's also thinner than expected (also in a good way). First impressions are that it's a keeper for sure and I think it's going to be my favorite watch. It is now for sure,
