New ladies collection
What do you guys think of the ladies collection? Seems to me that they have done a good job in catering to that segment in this launch. My wife loves the new 4947R. She was previously considering the 4936, but the proportions in the lower dial were throwing her off (the moonphase window is half - leaving a big blank space above the six). The 4947 nails it in terms of balance by extending the moonphase window to a complete circle.
Thoughts on homage to a PAM Fiddy
What are your opinions on Pam homages, not straight up fakes.
Why buy a damaged Bezel insert ?
I seem to be preoccupied with damaged Rolex items that keep appearing on a well know auction site..... don't get me wrong I retain parts that come off my watches for sentimental reasons, I just cant seriously cant believe that these 2 can be repaired (unless told other wise) so unless junk parts floats your boat what use are they?
Long Time Lurker - First Incoming :)
Hi All!Wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Afsheen, 27 years old in the Healthcare Technology sector, originally from Northern California (Bay Area), however, recently made the move down to LA to be with my long-time girlfriend. I've been lurking around on this forum since late 2015, learning a breadth of information from you all about the finer things: watches, cars, fine food, fashion, travel - you name it. Truly love that this forum is a place where people from parts of the world share their similar hobbies, and I'm looking forward to contributing as well .Finally, to my 'Incoming' post. Nothing as special or rare as some of the other members on this forum may post, but this piece represents a major milestone for me, and looking forward to adding more to the collection in the years to come.Cheers!
2016 Explorer Wind Question
Hi all,Is it normal that when my 2016 Explorer is completely dead and I go to wind it, it takes about 40 winds before the second hand starts moving? I now have a second watch, so I find myself winding the Explorer more these days (so maybe that's why I'm noticing it). But when I first start winding, there doesn't seem to be much resistance. After 40 winds, the second hand will start to move and there feels like there's a bit more resistance when winding. The watch is running fine and keeping time, no issues, everything seems normal. Just wondering if it's strange that it doesn't seem to kick into gear quicker? Thanks,J
