F.P. Journe Presents the Nouvelle Octa Lune
During SIHH in Geneva last month, independent watch brand F.P. Journe introduced updated versions of the moon-phase watch in its Octa Collection. The Nouvelle Octa Lune is available in two case materials. Its dial has been rearranged from that of its predecessor, and it’s now available in a larger size. The F.P. Journe Octa Collection to date has consisted of seven watches, including a world timer and an annual calendar. Many of the watches make use of off-center displays for their various functions. Still, the dial design remains simple with good legibility. The watches have also made use of moderate sizes: most of the models come in 38-mm and 40-mm case diameters. For 2015, Journe made slight alterations to the layout of the original Octa Lune. Most noticeably, the F.P. Journe name and logo have moved from an arc at the top of the dial to a placement at 7 o’clock, just under the moon-phase aperture. An interesting feature of the Nouvelle Octa Lune’s aesthetics is that
Regulating a Royal Oak
Hi,I noticed my 15300ST runs a bit too fast, so I was wondering if there are ways to put it in a certain position at night to (slightly) regulate it.Rolex used to include a few instructions on the guarantee form on how to regulate their watches (see picture). Will the same (or similar?) positions also work for AP ?Thanks!
Vintage Omega Speedmaster Watch
Hi there, I need some help. I inherited my dad's watch collection and in the bunch was the Speedmaster Moon watch I always wanted from him as a kid. He bought it in that era but I do not remember. How can you tell the year on these. The stainless band says 1171 inside. It's got to be from 1970 or something, how can I tell? Any other markings? In the box he kept it in was a 1969 watch on the moon add featuring John F Kennedy. Any help would be appreciated.
1966 Omega Deville Seamaster?
I found a classic Deville Seamaster, midsize at my watch shop in town. Its as new and has the box and book. I thinking about getting it, do you guys think 500 is a fair price? Thanks Ron
What is the best looking TT Daytona?
I am looking to get a TT Daytona. I am torn between various dial combinations. I have not seen it in the flesh. In your opinion, what is the best looking one in terms of dial section, with or without diamonds? And why do you prefer it? Can you post pics? thanks
