Review: Mutewatch
To be honest, I don't usually wear a digital watch.? I find the classic feel and analog dial of a mechanical watch to be far more rewarding and equally easy to use.? Digitals are usually reserved for more strenuous activities that require a more rugged timepiece.? That's when I pull out my trusty G-Shock GX-56.? When I first heard about the Mutewatch however, it changed my expectations for a digital watch.? LED numbers, touch interface, one flowing piece, vibration alerts��this is interesting.? Today, having spent some time with the Mutewatch, I can safely say that it is truly unique and may be the start of a whole new category of watches.The Mutewatch case is one flowing piece of rubber.? There is no separate band, really no seams to speak of, and its screen is hidden under a translucent piece of rubber.? When the screen isn't active, it's invisible.? I have been looking for over 6 months now for pre owned AP mentioned but no luck. I have tried major websites like watchrecon and chrono 24 and visited them frequently in the hope to find one. Why is it so difficult to find?Anyone come across one? Please let me know

Breitling USA - Great service
A month ago I found my Breitling Colt Chronograph II dead in my watch locker. For those of you who don't know this watch is a Super Quartz movement. It's very accurate. I use this piece to set all my other watches. I found it dead when I went to set a watch. Anyway, I took it to the AD. I couldn't remeber when I bought it but I knew it wasn't that old. The AD checked with Breitling and sure enough it was 2 years and 4 weeks old. That's four weeks past the warranty. I was going to have the AD replace the battery, gaskets, preasure check it and be done. But the AD suggested I send it to Breitling USA. Saying that they could end up fixing the watch free because it was so close to the warranty. The AD sent it to them and it came back yesterday. Sure enough BUSA fixed it and did a full service, plus they polished and brushed the surfaces. The watch runs and looks great. I can't be happier.Great service like that is why I go with a particular company and in this case I am very happy. Good Jo

Average Cost of Speedy Service ???
What is the average cost of an Omega Speedy Service from Omega? Just curious, I don't like to buy watches that cost alot to maintain. I do maintain them and I can't imagine that Omega Speedy costs too much, but just want to know. I'm thinking just a movement service. Believe it or not, I like scratches and nicks (provided they aren't massive or on the xtal). Will Omega honor a request that you not polish the case? Also, do any of you guys us locals to do your service? I sent my Panerai (6497 movement) to a Rolex autorized repairer and it was completed at a fraction of the cost Panerai would charge. Panerai starts at $500 for an 6497. That is rediculous IMHO. Thanks in advance.
