Talking Watches: With Pras
If you were growing up in the mid '90s like I was, there were a few albums that transcended any form of genre or culture to become part of something bigger – part of life. The Score was one of those albums. The Fugees, consisting of Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean, and Pras Michel, went on to win two Grammys and The Score went platinum twice over. At the center of this trio is today's guest. Not only is the man who can be held responsible for the creation of this super group (Pras discovered Lauryn Hill in high school in South Orange, New Jersey) a seasoned performer and writer, but he is also an acclaimed documentary filmmaker, philanthropist, and yes, even a serious watch collector. This is Talking Watches with the Fugees' Pras Michel. Audemars Piguet Millenary Rose Gold 1 OF 20 Pras is a lover of rose gold, and this Millenary dates to the the earliest years of AP's production of this line. Pras wears this watch often when he needs something subtle
Patek Nautilus VS Aquanaut
Patek Nautilus (SS) VS Aquanaut (either rubber or SS), which would you pick and why?I used to think the Nautilus SS was nice, but recently I grew to like the look of the rubber Aquanaut. If I had to choose one, I can't make up my mind though.Thoughts?

Panerai deployant buckle a pain-literally!
Hi TRF friends,I purchased a PAM 0164 recently from the Panerai AD in Dubai and am now regretting buying it. The watch is beautiful but the deployant buckle a real pain in literal terms. It's very heavy, gets stuck in the wrist and by the end of the day the whole wrist is in pain. I have tried alternating between the alligator and rubber straps but the problem persists. Even wearing it a bit loose doesn't help. Have any of you experienced the same problem?I called up the AD in Dubai (I live in Pakistan) and they informed me that ordering a strap and pin buckle can take upto 3 months and will cost anything between 400 to 600 USD. Can you believe it ? Makes me wish I had gone for the PAMs 312 or 359 which were about 800 USD more but at least had the pin buckle plus a 3 day power reserve. Can any of you recommend any good aftermarket straps and Pre-Vendome pin buckle suppliers. I tried ordering them online from panatime but for some reason they were not accepting Pakistani credit cards. Ar
About Daytona models
This I just read in the Forum, refers to the earliers Daytona models 16520, 116520 and comment that the prices have gone through the roof since being discontinued and the new 116500 released. I really do not know why that has to happen. The new models 116500 would not be logically the most coveted? When was it released for sale? This year? In what month?By the way, does anyone know what the official Rolex price of model 116500 is?And another question The 116500 comes with ceramic bezel but the diameter of the case is the same than the previous models? Forgive so many questions but I thought to get rid of my Sub.116610 and try to see if my budget reaches me to reach an 116500.Thanks friends.
