Watches NEWS
Hands-On: With The Harry Winston Midnight Skeleton (Live Photos)
While you probably expected the first Basel World Harry Winston post to be about Opus 12, the follow-up to this bad boy, it's not.? You see, that one is going to take some time think about before we share our thoughts on it.? And, there was actually is another piece from Harry Winston that really caught our eye when we visited their booth just a few hours ago.?The Midnight collection from HW is the most classical and refined of all HW men's watches, and today we say what will be the most "technical" and "watchy" model of the line, and a piece that serious watch guys are going to love.? It is a fully skeletonized time-only watch, and it is really beautiful.? The open-work on this guy is really lovely, and shows off what we can expect from the budding Winston line in years to come - they are going to be a very serious player down the road.?For the skeletonized Midnight, Winston chose to use a micro-rotor so allow for more open viewing of the movement, and the watch looks really great fro
AP Help
Hi Everyone, i'm new to this forum and wanted to log on to ask some Q's about a AP Panda. I currently wear a Panerai Pam 312 & i'm looking to get a AP but i'm not sure if it'll fit me.So i tried on the AP Diver & the 44mm ROO (both with the rubber band) and they fit me good, however the panda is not a buckle strap so it fits very awkwardly. Does anyone know if i can change the band on it to make it a buckle type band? I know i can get the rubber band on the Diver to fit the Panda, but what if i want a leather band? Does AP sell any buckle leather bands that'll fit the Panda, and does anyone else with a small wrist have trouble with these no buckle bands? Thanks for the help in advance guys. Here are some photos of the watches on my wrist, i think the Diver looks the best (and i believe the diver and panda are the same size).
SMP bezal change
hi, im thinking of swapping out the bezel inserts on my bond seamaster (black). i would like the red insert (from the Vancouver Olympic SMP).and i think the blue insert would be a cool change up too. i know how to pop off the bezel its the acquiring the inserts that is the problem.has anyone tried to do this before? i think the black on black is getting a little old so i want to do a sort of lv thing :)does anyone know where i could source two bezel inserts from? the blue and the red?cheers Mitch
Decided to check accuracy
I have now owned my first Rolex, a 114200 Air King, for 10 years. It is probably the closest watch I have to being a daily wear because of it's size and comfort.I decided yesterday to check the accuracy against the NIST atomic clock online. Being that it has a hacking second hand this was easy to do. The results: the watch gained approximately 6 seconds in 24 hours. I was going to reset it but today I head out of the country for 8 days so I am going to leave it alone and re-test when I get home.Does this seem about normal considering the age and it has never been serviced?
