Review: DEFAKTO Eins Nachtschicht
The Defakto Nachschicht (Nightshift) is the first one-handed watch I have had the chance to wear, and using it is a unique experience. Generally speaking, precision and accuracy are key features in the buying and using of a watch, right alongside quality and looks. Yes, there are various stylized watches, like the Nava Ora Unica or the Nooka Zot, that obscure time for the sake of novelty or a unique aesthetic, but it is not often that a midrange mechanical watch chooses to forgo exactitude to create a different experience of wearing a watch. The Nachschicht, and the Defakto Eins line as a whole, is designed around this premise.Case: Black PVD Stainless steelMovement: ETA 2824-2 25 Jewel AutomaticDial: full lume white with black indicesLens: SapphireCase Back: ScrewdownStrap: Black Italian Calf LeatherWater Res.: 50 MDimensions: 42mmThickness: 9 mmLug Width: 20mmWarranty: 24 months returns within 14daysA glance at the Nachschicht wont tell you exactly what time it is, but rather allow y
Oops they did it again!
Just picked up my new 15400 last week, wore it for 4 hours then put it in the case whilst I wait a 1.5 link. I'll start off by saying I'm an AP fan having owned a largely trouble free ROC and SS 44mm Novelty albeit both only for a short period of time. my wife for her part owns a RG Milenary and a lady RO so I have spent a fair bit of money with them over the years. Their watches are stunning and whilst having flipped all mine my wife's watches and the new 15400 are keepers. My problem lies with their QC. From 5 Watches 3 have had problems all resulting in a lengthy stay at the APSC. The last straw is my 5 day old (worn 4hrs) RO as today whilst admiring, setting and winding the crown pulled right out in my hand.I'm in the midst of penning a rather strong worded email to AP but wanted to vent off to the TRF community for those of you that may be thinking of buying.A lot of owners have had no issues and they do make great watches but their quality control is poorer than poor

New Planet Ocean 45.5mm.
New purchase this morning. I'll post a few more pics later. It still hasn't quite sunk in that this watch is on my wrist! It's big...
Rolex Explorer I - spotted in UK.
I know it's nothing crazy but for anyone in the market for a SS Rolex Explorer 1 in the 39mm size - they have one in the Watford Goldsmiths. It was there on the weekend.
