ROO 44mm QUESTIONS
I'm loving my Diver and am now considering an SS ROO (most unusually for me it's the least expensive in the range that sings loudest!)I would appreciate knowing if owners often swim with these pieces, and if anybody can kindly explain (in simple terms) how the stoppers are waterproofed. The AP spec says screw-locked crown and pushpieces, which I can't get my head around.I ask as I often swim with the Diver and have done with my 15400 as well.Thanks.
Interesting experience with an AD here in TX
So I called the AP AD in Houston trying to get information on ordering a stainless bracelet for the Diver that I am picking up on Friday, and the lady was telling me that she couldn't order the bracelet for me because it would void the warranty. I had never heard that so I called the AD in Dallas and they mentioned that they could order it and it wasn't correct info. Has anyone else had mixed info like that before?
His and Hers SMPs (black ceramic)
My wife and I were visiting Seattle and decided to stop by the Omega Boutique. They had a fantastic selection of watches and a very knowledgable sales staff. We ended up purchasing his and hers black ceramic SMPs, which look much better in person than they do in photos. I have a Bond SMP that's about 15 years old, and this watch is a major upgrade. Here's a photo I took in the boutique.
Just dropped my PAM off for its first service
I just dropped of my PAM00312 for its first service though the Panerai boutique. I was quoted $300 over the phone for a full maintenance, but when I got to the boutique, I was told (by someone else) that it would be around $600 for the full service. Does this sound about right? I wanted to make sure they would be able to polish the scratches out of the bezel, which they said they could and it would be in pristine condition, but I'm throwing around the idea of just getting a replacement bezel for an additional $150.
