Jaeger-LeCoultre Wins Montres Passion Watch of the Year Award
For the third time since 2004, the Public Prize in the Montres Passion Watch of the Year competition goes to a timepiece from Jaeger-LeCoultre. The 2010 winner is the Duomtre Quantime Lunaire, as selected by the public from all around the world voting online. In 2007, the Duomtre Chronographe took the prize. The Duomtre Quantime Lunaire incorporates Jaeger-LeCoultre’s latest achievements: it displays time with jumping seconds showing 1/6th of a second increments. Also displayed are the date and the age of the moon. This piece features JLC’s Dual-Wing movement which includes two independent power supplies: one dedicated to creating a perfect timing foundation C regulated by escapement and balance C and the other solely for the display of time C hour, minute and seconds hands C as well as the date and the age of the moon for the Northern and Southern hemispheres. Baselworld Preview: Glashtte Original Pocket Watch No. 1
At Baselworld 2010, Glashtte Original will present their rose gold Pocket Watch No. 1 with quarter hour repetition in a limited edition of 25 pieces. A historical watch by Julius Assmann, a famous pioneer of the Glashtte watchmaking industry, served as the model. The repeater first strikes the previous hours, and then in a higher tone, the number of quarter hours that have elapsed since the last full hour. The repeater is operated by means of a slide located at 6 o’clock. Moving the slide toward 9 o’clock winds the mainspring. At full wind, the striking mechanism is activated automatically. The progress of the striking mechanism is regulated by a centrifugal governor visible on the wheel train side. The beating of the two hammers is made audible by means of two gongs of different lengths which pass around the piece beneath the wheel train. The new hand-wound caliber 84-01 is designed so that at the moment of winding the crown, the balance wheel is halted and the eccentric

How to acquire a jubilee bracelet for my 16710?
Hi all, I have a D-serial (2005) no holes case 16710. Does anybody know the exact jubilee bracelet that was fitted for this model at the time? Correct me if I'm wrong, but my research shows me a 62510h, but there are so many different kinds. Is there a subset of letters I'm looking for such as RS7, K12 etc.? Was a jubilee bracelet available as an option in 2005/2006? I called in to RSC and they told me I couldn't get a jubilee bracelet because mine has the oyster bracelet currently on it, and it wasn't an option for D-serials. Were only certain bezel inserts fitted with the jubilee? For example, could I have purchased a Pepsi bezel with a jubilee in 2005/2006? If that's the case, I have all three bezel inserts if I need to swap out to thecorrect insert. I've called a few AD's and they said it's a trade out only policy at Rolex. Meaning, I would have to trade my perfectly fine oyster bracelet for a jubilee. I asked if I just sent the head in if I could purchase a jubilee, and they said
