Hesalite or Sapphire?
HelloI would like to hear some different views on the above please.I'm interested in buying a Speedmaster Professional Moon watch. I know they come in two different versions, one with a Hesalite crystal and one with a Sapphire crystal. I'm told that the Hesalite is easier to scratch, but in the real world, how much is it easier to scratch?I have an older meteorite dial version of the watch and I find it very comfortable and accurate. My wife has a Silver Snoopy version and loves that as well. I think they both have Sapphire crystals.Can I just have some of your views about the two different versions please? Is one recommended over the other etc?Also, what sort of discount could I aim for in the UK?Thanks very much.

Omega Seamaster Alveoles Quartz
Hello all,On checking the forum I can honestly say how impressed I am with the feedback to date.I have just been given an Omega Seamaster Alveoles Quartz (mens).I believe the watch is from 1980s. I can honestly say I know little about it except it is a two tone 18k gold plated/steel watch with a gold face with dots as hour markers and date.Two things, the watch has what appears to be a slight nick nearby the crown on the case nearby the 3 o'clock marker. Can the stainless steel case be fixed or is this normal ?Also, the luminous minute hand has slight discolouration compared to the hour hand. Can this also be resolve ?I live in Scotland, if so could anyone recommend a good repair shop.Does anyone have a rough value for one in good condition for the age.I can find very little information and have no paperwork.Even the omega website has very little to go on.Thank you for any help and assistance, it will be most gratefully received.PS I can upload a photo if required. Hi Guys was wondering if anyone thinks they may produce a jumbo ss aqua 5167 esque given they have fone down that route with the 5168I ask as i have nig 8 inch wrists and that would i think maybe wrong suit me better i do love the 5168 saving as we speak but a ss would be a corker i thinkcheers Guys

Should i sell 2 Rolex for 1 Patek?
As some of you already know, i recently acquired a Patek 5726/1A and really enjoy every moment of it. i am thinking to sell my 2 Rolex (GMT IIc + Yachtmaster I gold/steel) for Patek 5711 to complete my collection of Patek Nautilus. Is this a wise choice? Thanks in advance for your comments.I forget to mention that i still would need to add a bit more $ (around 7k) to get the 5711...even after selling both Rollies.
