The Real Reasons Watch Reviews Don't Talk (Much) About Accuracy
If you're curious about what accuracy actually is, and what it depends on, you may want to read our earlier story, "Accuracy: What Is It, And Does Anyone Actually Care?" JFWe've talked, now and again, about the subject of accuracy – what it is, what it means, how it's valued, and most recently, what it isn't as well. One question that always comes up when we raise the subject, however, is why you don't hear more about accuracy where you'd most expect to hear about it: in watch reviews. After all, car writers give you tons of performance information – why not watch writers? Why, therefore, don't watch reviews give you accuracy info in the same way that you get zero-to-sixty figures in a car review? There are a lot of reasons why you don't see actual performance figures for watches, in watch reviews; some of the obstacles are bigger than others, of course, but they all add up to the odds being stacked against it. AP sizes...
Why don't AP cater more for us guys with small wrists (6.25)? Surely I'm not the only person with tiny wrists?!37mm and 39mm fit great but any 41mm or ROO just swallows my wrists up!
Wich Radiomir to get next?
I would apriciate some feedback regarding two Radiomir models. I've had a Pam 359, trade it and now I want another Pam. But this time a Radiomir: golden hands, manual wound movement ( manufacture), no date, 44-47mm, sandwich dial and wire lug case. It is down to a Pam 424 or Pam 685. Tried them both. Love them both. I know the 685 is special edition but California Dial is a classic. Another important fact may be the price. Found the 424 at almost half of the price of 685, both BNIB.Wich one would you choose? Or if you have another model in mind that would have all of the specs above I'm open for suggestions.Cheers IMG_4895.JPG
