On Sale Now: WatchTime January-February 2016 Issue
The January-February 2016 issue of WatchTime is on newsstands now (and also in the WatchTime online shop), featuring our test of the new IWC Portugieser Automatic, a historical retrospective on the classic Rolex Daytona, a comprehensive look at Jaeger-LeCoultre’s new Geophysic collection, and more. Scroll down for highlights from the issue? In our cover story, A Classic Revamped, veteran watch reviewer Jens Koch tests the latest version of the venerable IWC Portugieser, equipped with its new, improved movement, self-winding manufacture Caliber 52010. Koch discovers some fascinating and detailed minutiae, such as the new movement’s more lightweight rotor compared to the original’s. Original photos are by Marcus Krueger.? We take an in-depth look at the 53-year history, and the aesthetic and technical evolution, of the iconic Rolex Cosmograph Daytona in “Tracking the Daytona,” by Thomas Gronenthal. Ikepod Solaris Watches: New Direction For Marc Newson
Ikepod is designer Marc Newson's quirky but cool watch brand. From its inception, most of his watches shared the same round bulbous look and had model names like "Hemipode." The watches are very cool and very hard to come by with extremely limited distribution (only two authorized dealers in the US). Despite their rarity, Ikepod watches have always intrigued me and looked like they enjoyed more than niche product appeal. Further, their modern looks being minimalist and all, are still very functional, with some of the existing models offering very complex features.Well, Marc has taken a completely new direction with the new Solaris lines of watch. Not only is the shape of the watch case square, but the overall theme of the watch is totally different. Rather than a soft futuristic look, the Solaris watches are retro chic. The case itself looks like an appliance dreamed up in pre-space age 1950's and 60s, but with cleaners lines. Maybe what art deco might have evolved into if industrial d
Ap service center
Wow absolutely amazing service. My 44mm was fixed and returned in 3 and a half weeks time. Great communication and service!
New Year Eve Incoming Offshore Novelty SS
So after much deliberation I finally zeroed in on an AP Novelty Offshore in Stainless steel... This is the only AP I have currently but have had the pleasure of owning the 42 mm Panda and the Novelty Forged Carbon in the past.....I was also looking at the All ceramic but somehow could not justify paying the huge difference for it... I'm really digging the colour contrast on the dial of the Novelty Steel and after having owned the FC which I loved for its light weight I now find myself also enjoying the extra weight of the steel...I think this watch will be perfect for regular wear and can be worn both dressed up & dressed down for weekends...Here's some quick shots of my new love :-)
Need your input
Hello all, I have just purchase a preowned PO 42mm with the new 8500 calibre. From the pictures I have seen only mega website and from the members here, the Omega logo and the word Omega (under the 12 o'clock ) appeared to be white, but mine looks like stainless steel, silvery. Please help me with answers. Thank you.
