Six Professionals That Tend To Be Watch Lovers
Enjoying watches is typically not a solo activity. Watch lovers like myself feel the need constantly discuss or mentions watches, much to the dismay of non-watch lovers. But when you meet a fellow horological enthusiast, the conversation quickly becomes lively as shared interests intermingle. In my time I have realized that certain types of people tend to like watches more than others. This is by no means an exhaustive list, but represents six professions that tend to attract a watch loving bunch. Though it could also easily be suggested that entrance into the profession itself engenders a new appreciation that all the while lay dormant.LawyersMyself being in this group I felt it prudent to mention first. Lawyers comes in all varieties but one thing all lawyers (should) have in common is a distinct attention to detail. We also value items of inherent value, and reliability. Accuracy is another characteristic that lawyers value, and coincidentally enough, these are the same values that
Sigh....
Sending the IWC and the LV-C off to their new homes today. Not going to miss the IWC. The LV.....??? That's another story. I have worn a variant of the Sub for 11 years now... But, the AP completely stole me away from Rolex and the feel, craftsmanship of the Royal Oak makes it feel like more of a rest of my life watch to me.Because of the constant wear the RO gets from me, I have a hard time justifying relegating a watch as nice as the Sub to mere weekend and travel wear.... And if a watch is not getting worn it becomes a sheer waste of $$$. The PAM 000 will now fill the casual-travel role, for now.... Unless I act on temptation and sell that as well and replace it with a Tudor Black Bay which is a watch that to me at least oozes Rolex build quality but has a lot of the old school properties Rolex used to be known for.Still I'll miss you Sub.....

Pics of new 233
Finally got a chance to take some pics. Better late than never. Love the 44mm size, domed crystal, date/GMT functions, linear 8 day PR, manual wind, crown guard, etc... My favorite PAM and now I'm hooked on watches in the 42 to 44mm range. I think I'm done for a while.
Jubilee Possible for OP 39mm?
I would like to replace the Oyster bracelet on my 114300 Oyster Perpetual 39mm with a Super Jubilee Bracelet. Is this possible? The lug width is 20mm I'm thinking a DJ 41mm Jubilee would work for the following reasons. The DJ 41mm is actually only 39mm and has a 20mm lug width. Even if the fit is not perfect, would this possibly work?I'm open to either the newer Jubilee, the older Jubilee, or possibly even an aftermarket as a very last resort.Thank you for any suggestions and advice.
