Watches NEWS
BEST FROM: watches-dealer & Friends September 12, 2014
It's been a long time coming, but it is finally here. Well, almost - it will actually go on sale only next year. Just days ago, Apple finally lifted the veil off its new smart watch, which is simply called the Apple Watch. Now, and even before it was unveiled, many are calling it the game changer, believing that it will have a profound and massive impact on the wearable technology industry. They are probably right; the watch is well made, looks relatively stylish, and has some good functionality. But what does it mean for the rest of the watch industry? Well, our Editor-in-Chief and founder Ariel weighs in with his thoughts.Apart from the Apple Watch, we also check out another smart watch, albeit a more traditional one, in the form of Casio's MRG-G1000. Find out why?it is called the ultimate G-Shock in our hands-on article. Other new watches we checked out recently include Zenith's very vintage-looking Pilot Montre d'Aeronef Type 20 GMT 1903, Cartier's new Calibre Diver, and a person
Advice on getting my first Breitling
Hey all, my name is Ben, and I have just started at the forum with the suggestion of my friend Kevin(isGQ). I'm new to the watch world (I just started with a Rolex Submariner as a gift in June) and trying to learn as much as I can, so I'll be asking lots of questions.I wanted something with a black dial that also had a good amount of gold to it, and I also liked the design of the classic Navitimer, so I'm thinking the yellow gold dial version with both a two-tone and black leather bracelet to switch up once in a while. I tried to get a sense of what it looks like, but couldn't find pictures of what I wanted, and a trip to the closest Breitling shop for me will be at least 2 hours, so I need a good feeling about what I want to buy before I go out there.Would the two-tone bracelet go well with the yellow gold Navitimer, or is my sense of fasion for watches not so hot, any thoughts? Also, what would be a good price for this watch? I did a search on amazon, looks like it'll go for about 7
Smudge inside crystal looking for advice.
I purchased this watch from a seller in Turkey and it was delivered to Canada today. Trying to figure out if this smudge is condensation from the journey and if that is normal? It is a late 2016 watch so supposed to be practically new and never opened etc. Comes with all boxes and papers. The price was good so if its not a big issue I would like to keep it.
Trade: DD 228235 and an ROC black Panda
Hello, I'm looking for some opinions on this potential trade: DD 22835 RG Brown Motif Dial and an AP ROC SS Black Panda dial (latest model) for a Platinum DD40 Blue Motif dial. Current collection: SS Daytona ceramic white dial16610 Sub DD40 RGAP ROCI wear the DD when I go out or to fancy events. I daily the other three in a rotation, if I made this trade I would go down to three vs four and wear the Platinum daily in a rotation with the sub and Daytona. My hesitation ok the trade is giving up two great watches vs one amazing watch. I guess it's a decision between Quality vs quantity ? if someone could post some pictures that would be great 👍 I don know how to add them to a thread. (Newbie)
