Beautiful!
Well, after having had a bad experience a few years ago with a Rubberclad, my faith in AP was restored earlier this year at a private dinner to show some grand complication watches. I did hit a bump in the road having a Rolex Submariner scammed off me (https://.rolexforums/showthre...08#post4617808 ), but after selling my Daytona on a strap (https://.rolexforums/showthread.php?t=191442 ) and selling the blue dialed Yacht Master, I found a bit of funds to get this watch.I like the fact that it can be dressed up and down and that it flies under the radar. It may not be the latest limited edition offshore (kind of a put off for me...), but it suits me perfectly. Plan to enjoy it for quite some time.
SMP +/- seconds have changed since purchase
I purchased my SMP 7 months ago and used time.is to track the +/- seconds over the course of 60 days. The SMP ran at a solid +2. I decided to track it again recently and it's now running at a consistent -4. Nothing has changed in the usage of the watch: wind it a couple times a month, wear it everyday, rest it face up at night. I've heard watches have a breaking in period but I really thought my SMP was going to stick at +2 since it ran that way for months. I can tolerate -4 for now, but I was really surprised it deviated 6 seconds from when I first tracked it. I'll be curious to see what it's doing when I track it a few months from now. My question is...anyone else have that dramatic of a change in +/- after purchasing a new watch? Or is this normal? I have no frame of reference since this is the first time I've ever tracked the time on my mechanical watches. Thanks in advance for any comments to help clarify this for me.
Rolex 1976 Pepsi GMT Bracelet
I have a 1976 Pepsi GMT in stainless steel with an oyster bracelet. I have been told that this is incorrect. I have been told that the Jubilee is the one that is needed. Are there any members that can help me clarify the correct type, bracelet number and end link numbers so I can restore this watch to original condition. Thanks in advance!!
116519 Daytona Strap Clasp Question - Please help
I have the original strap and it is adjusted as tight as it will go, last hole. It is still a bit loose on my wrist. My wrist is average size. Any suggestions how to make it tighter without changing the strap? Please see photos. Many thanks.Sent from my SM-G928V using Tapatalk
