Introducing The Breitling Transocean Chronograph Edition
We like good Breitling, and the new Transocean Chronograph doesn't disappoint. This model hankers for its roots a bit more than its predecessor with a vintage-feeling scheme and a simpler dial layout. Best of all, and unlike the earlier model, the Transocean Chronograph features a sapphire case back to showcase manufacture wares. 2 OF 4 The new model starts off with a 43 mm case (foreshadowing what's inside) in highly-polished stainless steel with steeply curved lugs. Like most Breitlings, you're bound to feel every millimeter of it. The dial has what Breitling calls "twinzone silver d��cor," but it's more along the lines of champagne in color. The tachymeter scale (probably excessive on this watch) is still on the outer perimeter of the dial, only this time a darker disc highlights the applied hour markers and date window at 6 o'clock. 3 OF 4 Is the date window necessary? Disclaimer - I'm not brand-bashing here!! Genuine thoughts with full honesty as always. Please don't hate me for it.I'm feeling like there's something not right with me. I've had a lot of watches. A lot. I've been collecting for a long time now, but only recently purchased my first PP. An Aquanaut 5167 on rubber.This watch is everything I didn't expect but in such a good way. I keep saying that the Nautilus has never appealed, but I was expecting, now I've got the Aquanaut, I would try a Nautilus and desperately want one. I understand more about the finishing, overall quality etc now and I'm hooked.So yesterday, I managed to try a 5712 on at a used watch store. In the display case it looked more appealing than the last time I saw one (PPPIMC - Pre-Patek Philippe in my collection ) but as soon as I popped it on my wrist, I really wasn't at all enamoured with it. Panerai newbie question
I've taken in a PAM 111 on a trade and it's my first Panerai. It's a 2005 model and I don't believe it has ever been serviced. It seems to be running fast, 30 seconds a day. I love the watch and am not sure what I should do - the previous owner offered to take it to a watchmaker to have it regulated but recommended against opening it up. Is this normal for an older Panerai? Should I get it serviced by Panerai instead? Do nothing and just enjoy it?Advice would be appreciated. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Prices and availability after Basel
I was wondering if anyone had an opinion on pricing and availability of existing Rolex sport watches in the months after Basel?(Like the Daytona C, Hulk and the BLNR) Will prices come down on older references since there may be New and trendy references released that get all the attention?Will people see new references and want to sell their existing ones to get the latest and greatest?What has history shown or what do you think will happen?
