Top Watches To Win Friends And Influence People
On Forbes I just published a list we called the "Top Watches For Social Peacocking." It is a look at watch brands that when used in various social settings can send just the right type of message. Of course it makes perfect sense for watches-dealer readers as well. So please lend your attention here where you can see the full article on the Top Watches For Social Peacocking.
Speedmaster "Speedy Tuesday" - A Pictorial
On your mark, get set... go!January 10th 2017 was a very special Speedy Tuesday. As was customary on every Tuesday, I received an email from Fratello Watches introducing the Speedy Tuesday Limited-Edition Speedmaster. So naturally I was very intrigued and immediately began to read the article. But before I could get very far, I had to stop to take care of some business and only manged to finish reading it many hours later. Paraphrasing the last paragraph of the article: order here... soonest. I was pretty confused given that I'd never heard of such an online reservation-process before and at the onset of the article* I assumed it was going to be something for Basel in March (*err, I obviously skipped the preface...).So hours later I clicked on the provided Omega Online Reservation link. Then the real fun began... No free number available, please try later... I must have refreshed my browser-window over a hundred times. And then it happened ...the automated reply changed to Number nnnn
Vintage Speedy
Hey all. This isn't an official FS: post so I am filing it here. I got my hands on a 1975 Speedy Moonwatch. The piece is in good condition overall. The exception being that the chrono doesn't work. I'm not an expert so I can't open it up to look. Everything else works great and it seems to keep very good time. Any idea on what it would be worth given the condition? I'd prefer to be wearing a Moonwatch with a few less miles on it? Is my vintage piece (with chrono issues) an even trade for something 5 yrs old? Thanks all. Here is a pic. Patek 5196R lovingmthismwacth.. when do I wear it....
I really enjoy this piece. I got this , preowned, a few months ago. I’m struggling finding WHEN or WHERE to wear this. When do you all wear this watch.. or where.I’ve been wearing this with jeans, nice shirt. In extremely casual environments. No one but me recognizes this piece, either. I don’t have to dress up for work. I work from home mostly anyway. I feel somewhat strange wearing this with jeans, in casual environments. I also of course wear this when dressed nicely, but I’ve minimal occasion of any formality... it’s funny I find myself wearing collared shirts with jeans so i can wear the Patek.. I guess I need psychiatric care. My question: when and where do you wear the 5196, or similar pieces. I’m finding this piece far more versatile than my two tone submariner.. it’s awkward, though, because if other Patek owners saw me wearing this piece with jeans , etc, they’d start a brawl. So I’m just wondering when you all buy a Patek
Let's add to the BBN hype, shall we not?
We all know John loves his GMT BLRO and he claims it was his most worn watch in 2017.But... he also likes his BBN. :)Imagine. A guy having millions of dollars worth of watches in his collection chooses this as his tool watch. That just speaks for itself.Sent from my SM-G955W using Tapatalk
