HI everyone, I've been contemplating my first AP watch purchase. I own a few rolex watches but I hear AP is on a different level. I'm considering either the blue boutique stainless steel royal oak chronograph or the same watch with the black dial, I thought about maybe just starting out with a regular royal oak steel watch but I really like the chronographs. The rose gold AP's are stunning watches but a little out of my price range for now.Any advice on which steel version wears better for everyday use. I have seen the black but I've never seen the blue boutique in person, can anyone that has had or has these pieces offer their personal opinions/reviews. Do they scratch easily?Do AP owners usually start out with steel and then move up to pink gold?I know rolex hold value pretty well, what about AP?any general reviews on pros/cons would be appreciated. Datejust on Leather?
Hey guys,What are your feelings on a Datejust with leather strap?To be honest, at one point I never used to care much for leather straps, but in recent years I’ve really grown to love them.. even prefer them in many cases to a metal bracelet. I have a TT Datejust with an ivory white dial and jubilee bracelet. It looks gorgeous as it is, but I just have a feeling that it might look great on a nice brown leather strap.. even if it’s just for a temporary or occasional change. I was just wondering what others might think of this idea, and even better still, possibly some inspirational pictures? Russ
