The acquisition will reinforce the watchmaking activity of Louis Vuitton, which opened its first workshop to produce movements in La Chaux-de-Fonds in 2002.According to Louis Vuitton, the integration of La Fabrique du Temps reflects the brand’s desire to uphold the highest quality standards for its watches and to further develop its know-how in the conception and perfection of movements.La Fabrique du Temps will continue to fulfill its commitments to its external clients.
Lang & Heyne Augustus I Watch Remembers Your Special Dates
Lang & Heyne out of Dresden, Germany will release a very interesting new calendar watch for 2014, called the Augustus I, named after the 19th century king of Saxony, Frederick Augustus I. The point of the watch is very unique: to have a sort of computational calendar that tracks the dates and anniversaries of 12 custom events or peopleC and all in symmetrically attractive dial. Each Augustus I watch will be made to order per the specific wishes of each customer. That is natural because there is no way for Lang & Heyne to make the watch without knowing the the 12 events and their dates. To that effect Lang & Heyne has claimed that they will produce perhaps three Augustus I watches each year. The concept of how the watch works is relatively simple, but explaining it is a challenge mostly because their press release reads like East German shortwave radio instructions.According to Lang & Heyne, the calculating element in the Augustus I watch that not only indicates the dates
New to me
This is my first post in the Breitling thread. I picked this one up on ebay a couple of weeks ago. I'm starting to enjoy the feel of it.
Panerai Crown Unwound Suddenly?
Hi gurus of this forum.Would like to seek your kind advice. Was winding my Pam000 as usual today. Was midway winding it (not nearing the end), when suddenly the crown started to unwound itself and spun freely anti-clockwise. Tried winding it back again to the end, everything acted normally as it should. What is the hell is going on? I shook the watch but couldn't hear any loose parts i.e. just in case something broke.Any kind souls can advise me? Thanks in advance.
Time adjustment by drop kick
Had my DJ41 since June...it ran at -2 spd when I first got it....I’ve dropped it 2 times accidentally of course. First time 3 months ago and it started running at -2.5....then 2 weeks ago dropped it on my Wooden floor and kicked it as it landed, absolute panic that it would be knackered....not a mark on it and it now runs the best it’s ever been at -1 sec per day amazingly....any other folk with such experiences....I’ve been very lucky I’d say
