Watch-Lust: Dievas Vortex
The Dievas Vortex is a beast of a watch. Looking something like a mix between a diver's watch, a pilot's watch, a military watch and a support truss from a bridge; the Vortex is clean, bold and striking. At first glance, it appears to have somewhat classic styling, then you notice the harsher than normal angles of the lugs, the thin but purposeful bezel and the 8 o'clock crown, and you realize this is something different And the fun only starts on the surface: the Vortex is a maniacally overbuilt watch. Introducing: The Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean Chronograph 45.5mm, Omega's First METAS Certified Master Chronograph
The Planet Ocean Collection was first launched in 2005 and has become a mainstay, in the last 10 years, of Omega's sports watch collections. This year Omega has released a brand new Planet Ocean 45.5 mm Chronograph, with a new co-axial chronograph movement (METAS/Master Chronometer certified, a first for Omega chronographs) and in new materials. It's one of three Master Chronometer certified Seamasters in the new-for-2015 Seamaster Planet Ocean Master Chronometer Collection, along with the new Seamaster Planet Ocean 43.5 mm Auto, and the Seamaster Planet Ocean 43.5 mm GMT. As you may know, the current Planet Ocean Chronograph 45.5 mm features the co-axial caliber 9300 movement in titanium with blue dial and bezel. This year's Baselworld release features a new movement: the automatic co-axial chronometer caliber 9901/9900. This is one of the first generation of movements to be certified by METAS (the Swiss Federal institute of Metrology) and thus, one of the first generation (alo
I bought this Chronomat Blackbird new 12 years ago.
Don't wear it often. Have never seen another in the wild although I know they are out there. I can't ever decide if I like it or not after all these years but I still have it.
Modern bracelet on vintage Speedmaster
Would the Modern Speedmaster bracelet 1998/849 fit a vintage '1967 145.012 Speedmaster? I know the 1171 is the current replacement, but would the bracelet for modern Speedmasters still fit correctly?thanks
Trading watches with Patek ADs
Are you aware of any Patek Philippe ADs in the US, Europe or Latin America which might take second hand watches (such as Rolex) as part of the payment for brand new Patek Philippe watches? Thanks
