Concord C1 Vintage Chronograph
Angular, functional, faded jeans for the wrist. The C1 Vintage stainless steel case receives a blue PVD coating, giving it a deep gunmetal color. Then it’s placed in a vibrating drum along with deburring chips, water and a detergent compound and subjected to over two hours of friction and rotation. The result is a shotblasted patina that mimics years of wear. Add a distressed leather strap and you’ve got a great looking mean blue time machine. The C1 Vintage chronograph retails for $13,900. Nico Gerard Pinnacle Is Mechanical On Top & Apple Watch On The Bottom - For A Massive Price
The Nico Gerard Pinnacle watch that combines a mechanical timepiece with an Apple Watch is probably a good idea, but executed with a price that makes it utterly unrealistic. As we have said here time and again, smart watches are a growing segment, and one that we expect to continue covering for some time. Of course, probably the most anticipated smart watch release this year was the Apple Watch, though sales seem like they might be a bit off. If you find yourself in the camp of wanting an Apple Watch, and still want to wear your traditional mechanical watch, what are you to do? You could certainly wear a watch on each wrist. While that is something I have grown accustomed to, I realize that not everyone may be ready for that. That, then, leaves the option of leaving one of the watches at home, or figuring out how to get both onto a single bracelet. That is what we have here with the Nico Gerard Pinnacle. This is not the first time we have seen an Apple watch combined with a regular watc
Am I only a Rolex guy?
I tried on something today, and I just kept feeling like it was delicate. It was very light for one, considering it was a bracelet. Maybe I'm just not high haute material. This was the first time I tried it on as I was reluctant to even try it on (I was scared how much I'd love it and for me, this isn't cheap). Also, it looks like art, and feel like scratches would bother me on such a piece. Also, I wasn't completely blown away. Don't get me wrong, I liked it, but I'm wondering as I have evolved in my WISdom that maybe I can't get blown away anymore like I used to back when I was getting into watches. Can anyone relate to what I'm saying? Is that true crazy excitement of a new watch only happen in the beginning of your watch hobby?I'm not considering this exact watch, but rather its blue brother (minus 1 from the reference). Not because I don't like it, but partially due to cost and I like simpler watches. Thanks for your thoughts.
