Seiko Prospex Spring Drive Tuna SBDB008 Watch
Seiko SBDB008The Prospex line of professional divers from Seiko has long been a rich source of fine watches and superb engineering, sadly less known than they deserve due to Japan-only sales. This one is worth questing for though, it's the new-for-2013 SBDB008, in the Prospex Marinemaster collection. Spring Drive (cal 5R65), DLC titanium shroud, titanium nitride (the gold colored bits) highlights, date window tucked in at 4:30, and a new handset. From the sheen, it looks like the bezel insert is ceramic, which would be a nice touch. I like this one, though it's tall at 16.2mm thick. Width not known, but we know that those are 22mm lugs so probably 44mm plus. 72 hour power reserve, and that movement is rated at +-15s/month.It's on page 41 of the Japanese-language Seiko 2013 catalog (PDF). From that, list price is 399,000JPY, or about $3,900USD as of today. Seiko Pullsse Odograph Watch Is Little Japanese Overlord Of Walking, On Your Wrist!
Why on Earth is this watch not officially sold in the US? I mean you can still get it online, but people need a watch like this to get them through the day, at least any walking parts. Frankly, I will all but forget how to stroll or pace without this watch. The Seiko Pullsee is technically a fitness watch, but really serves to do something that the Japanese love, give you extraneous information. An upgrade from the mere "Pedessa" model, the Pullsee relies of two basic sensors to tell you everything you need to know. It has a built in pedometer and rate-heart monitor. As an odograph, this watch literally measures walking.?? The pedometer is an internal sensor, while I believe the heart rate monitor is attached to the strap which would touch your wrist. Just Finished Omega Mk2 Gold / Red Tachy :)
Hello, i just wanted to share with you my last resoration. I couldnt be happier with the results !As i shared here at the forums a couple of months back i bought a decent condition Mk 2 gold plated with red tachy crystal. I was hooked with this speedy, since its the most rare from the mk2 series.I went all the way with this resoration, the 861 movement was crying for a deep clean and service, i brushed the case the proper way, and did had to buy a new red crystal. The dial and hands where in great condtion so i did conserve the patina. Finally i bought a german leather vintage strap which gives the final super quality look to this vintage rare watch.Please tell me what you think about the pictures since i dont know what else to say.Thanks !
