Stay true to AP or diversify the collection?
AP will always be my first preference as I love the brand and their astonishing design aesthetics and beautiful finishing and build quality. I'm looking for another piece considering the AP ceramic anthracite dial but I stumbled across this Rolex rose gold day date 40 and their new anniversary green dial. I love the 44mm RG which has been my favourite piece since 2012 when it came out and acquired it instantly. On weekends and special occasions my rose gold 42 mm on strap gets wrist time. I would definitely prefer the AP ceramic to complete the AP trio but will it be all too Same same or Rolex green dial would be a good option to consider. The only reason I ask this question here as all the members here have amazing collections and watch experiences and they can guide and let us know if an acquisition later will not be regretted and if a person will find a certain disconnect with the watch even through initially they were all for it and took considerable time deciding. My AP Diver died!
My 1 year AP Diver died.Im running with it, i kept running at looking at the watch. I think to myself:i have been running for a long time, but why its only 10 minutes Im so tired but I keep running. After several time I realized the watch has died! I wind it and its still not working. I have many watches like rolex or the ETA tag heuer, they never had any problem with it.Its still under warranty, Im going to service it soon, I hope its free.Im thinking why the high brand and expensive watches like AP can be died by only 1 year of using it? while the cheaper brand with ETA movement doesnt have any problems.Does AP watch should not be used while running? To break the rules you must first master them!
Is Breitling a serious watch company?
Picked one up recently at the airport on a spur of the moment buy. Although they have their range from low to high, I wonder if they're really up there in terms of workmanship, legacy, etc. With that said, I'm a bit regretful about my purchase. Seems to be a lot of bling factor (and possibly little else). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Omega Service question.
Hello all.My Omega Seamaster 300M Automatic has been getting slow to start when winding these past couple of months and this morning it failed to run more than 4 or 5 seconds. It's around 6 or 7 years old, it's my guess it's in need of a cleaning and fresh oil. This is the first time I've needed to have one of my watches serviced and have a couple of questions.About how much can I expect to pay and where should I have it sent? I would perfer to have a local watch pro have it if I can find one. I live in Dayton Ohio. I now own 20 watches and most are automatics. I expect I will be dealing with this more often. Thanks in advance.Jim Roberts
