Oris RAID Chronograph Limited Edition Watch
Have it known that the US side of Oris's operation is comprised of some very lovely, helpful people. While I didn't get to spend as much time as I would have liked with them at Baselworld 2010, I will be spending more time with their watch collection in June. I was able to get shots of a very cool limited edition piece - the Oris RAID Chronograph. RAID is a rally race of vintage cars. It now takes place in Switzerland and France, and only includes automobiles made before 1975. If you want to learn more about it, just Google it.This should explain the styling of the RAID Chronograph watch. It looks quire retro and reminds us of when cars had really swoopy roofs. Specifically, the dial is influenced by the tachometer of a 1952 Jaguar XK 120 - that has the redline area reversed. Use of this concept adds that always welcome splash of red to the dial. Thinking of trading Daytona on AP ROO
I've been looking at the ROO, and thinking I would wear it a lot more than my 116509 (I'm deathly afraid of scratching up the gold).I'm also thinking the 44mm size would be a more casual size and in SS is something that I could wear daily (I work in a tech company - think shorts & t-shirts.)What would you guys do? Any suggestions on specific models? I would really prefer something with a chronograph.Thanks!

RSC New York Service Estimate
Just thought some of you might like to see the costs from Rolex New York for certain parts for a 14060 Submariner. Ws surprised at the affordability of the bezel insert at $48. I don't necessarily need the extra link, but for $60 I had them add one on to the list. This is for an overhaul for the Rolex I gave my Dad in 2002 for his 60th birthday that I got back when he passed away in 2015. Apparently my dad had left the crown unscrewed and the luminous was damaged and cracking on the dial and hands.
