3rd Year Warranty Extension
Hi guys,My SS Diver is now 18months old. I successfully sent away for the 3rd year sticker for my warranty book. I'm guessing now is the time for me to send it in to AP?Questions are,1 is there a cost for this service, 2 do I send direct to AP (how/where?) or via an AD, 3 do I include the warranty booklet, 4 will they service the watch/ polish the case or is that a cost option5 and how long will the process take Thanks so much
I love my Seamaster but...
I bought my Seamaster (midsize chronometer blue dial, skeleton hands) in September of 2002. It was my first high end timepiece. I always loved the look of the Seamaster and decided to bite the bullitt and shell out the 1300 odd dollars at an authorized dealer. So I have had the watch for nearly 6 full years now and thought I would write my general feeling about the timepiece. For the first few years it gained about 6 seconds per day. Right at the end of the COSC parameters. It now loses about 4 seconds per day (I have never had it serviced). The biggest gripe I have with the watch is the rotating bezel. It is almost worthless because it is so difficult to grip and turn. The red tip of the second hand seems to have faded to orange. The watch does attract scratches to the bracelet. While I love the clasp, I really wish it had the fine tuning like oyster bracelets.I wish the crown was a little beefier. The lume is amazing. The watch is very rugged.I have a friend with a Submariner no date th
Selling several watches for a Patek
Hi everyone,I know it's another Selling for a Patek thread, but just wanted to get some thoughts...I currently have a small collection of 4 watches (which I've managed to bring down from a previously higher number of 8)...2 of these are Rolexes and one is an AP RO. I am seriously considering selling two watches, namely a Rolex and the AP RO for a Nautilus 5711, but then that would cut down the collection to three. I would like to know if there are any forum members who have experienced cutting down in order to accommodate a Patek. I am quite decided for now and am actually thinking that maybe a smaller collection would put me at peace but then again that might just be me wanting to convince myself to get the Nautilus!!!Any thoughts would be appreciated....thanks
PAM 590 for First Panerai?
I have been collecting Rolex for some time now, but have slowly developed the Panerai itch. I have been doing some research on the PAM 590 and it seems to speak to me. I have noticed that the watch had a lot of value when it first came out, but has since come down quite a bit in the secondary market. What is the verdict on the PAM 590?
Rolex Daytona Ref 6262
Not many of these were made, heard numbers are somewhere around 1700 or so... Hard to believe this thing cost $300 back in the day. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
