7 Must-Visit Swiss Watch Museums
There are of course! many reasons to visit Switzerland, but if you are into watches, a Swiss trip should feel a bit like Heaven on Earth (for you, that is; perhaps not for your fellow travelers who don’t share your passion equally).Along with the many great watch shopping (and window shopping) opportunities, Switzerland is also, as you would expect, home to many great watch museums. Unfortunately, some of the most fascinating collections are “by appointment only” and therefore require a bit of planning ahead (as with the museums of Longines, Audemars Piguet, Jaeger-LeCoultre, etc.). In this article, we introduce you primarily to some of the most interesting Swiss watch museums that all have regular visiting hours. Here are my top seven:MIH C The Muse international d'Horlogerie in La Chaux-de-Fonds houses one of the world’s largest collections of watches and clocks. It is open six days a week from 10 AM to 5 PM (closed on Monday) and offers the perfect start
Need some help.
A friend of min asked her to help her put a value on these two watches so that she can sell them. She's told me that she has the box and paperwork for both but I have yet to see anything in person. I would appreciate if anyone can help me identify and give me an idea on value. Thanks guys!
Any real life shots of the new PO 8500?
I have been dying to see some real life shots of this watch besides the pictures on Omega's website, etc.I was interested in purchasing one of these since September, but the dealer I am trying to get the watch from said they woudn't be in stock until the end of October - never happened. Then he said the end of November, - again never happened. So with that said, I am starting to get a little antsy and I am wondering if anyone has som real life pictures.
Thinking about straying from Rolex..
What is a 1981 Military Omega Dynamic worth. It looks to be in very good condition and comes with SS band but nothing else. Thanks for any insight.Mike
Ok opinions are gonna vary on this one lol!
Here we go again.... ive got a AP Forged Carbon 44mm and just cant get attached to it. Maybe ive got buyers remorse based on a rubber/plastic/ceramic watch for alot of $$$$ and cant personally see the justification in it too.Its not my first AP and i dont dislike it but its just not doing it for me. I tried to do a deal on a RG 44mm but we just couldnt come to an agreement that i could say was a worthwhile deal.....I am also paranoid about the reliability after the issues i had with my AP SafariSo ive been looking around and not for anything in particular and this was offered to me last night.... A solid gold YMII full set 116688I will have to tip in a bit to do the deal(not enough to phase me)Now i know the YMII is not the most popular model on the forums here but i do like them (i had a TT YMII previously) and i miss having a PM piece in my ownership (ive had a gold sub/yachtmaster 1 and a DD previously)whats your thoughts on this as a trade?again i figure this will be a mixed bag of
