Pre-Basel: New Maurice Lacroix Pontos Chronographe
Maurice Lacroix has started releasing information about their upcoming Baselworld 2013 collection. They will be debuting two watches each week leading up to the start of BaselWorld. This week kicks off with two new models within their very successful Pontos range of elegant but sporty automatic chronographs. The Pontos is arguably Maurice Lacroix's most recognizable model, and rightfully so, as they have managed to design a watch that looks distinctive without being especially boisterous or ostentatious.The new models, ref 6188 and 6288, are both powered by the Valjoux 7750 automatic chronograph movement which has been adjusted to three positions and features cotes de geneve decoration. The 7750 allows for sub seconds, a thirty minute register, and a 12 hour register with the chronograph seconds being displayed centrally. With 43mm stainless steel cases, these new Pontos' are nicely sized and are equipped with an anti-reflective front sapphire crystal as well as a sapphire display case

5227 too small for wrist?
Just posted last week about deciding between getting a Calatrava 5227 today or waiting the Nautilus 5711 out, and seems like the conclusion would be for me to get the Calatrava today and figure out if I want to buy the 5711 once it's my turn on the waiting list. So I went to an AD and tried the 5227 on again. I did have some concerns:1. Judging by my photo, the 5227 doesn't seem nice, but photos by other forum members show that it is (my photo seems to darken up the batons making it look plain black) - so may I ask those who have the 5227, do the white gold batons stand out in real life? I think it's central to the beauty of the watch especially on a black dial. 2. My wrist shot shows my wrist being squeezed by the watch. Does this mean the 5227 is too small for my wrist? Would a longer strap help it? Does Patek sell longer original straps?3. I was thinking of a deployant buckle, is this appropriate for this type of watch?I also did try a different model at the AD, a 5205. This on the

Changing to leather on a 5726
I'm considering purchasing a 5726 on a bracelet and was wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to change the bracelet to a leather strap, if I want to change things up every once and awhile. Tried to do some searching on this topic, but have had no success so far. Any help would be much appreciated.

To my surprise, there does not appear to be a GMT Master or GMT Master II owner's thread. I did stumble upon a thread created for only the ceramic GMT Master II, but the question is why just limit that thread to ceramic models only? So I will take the pleasure of creating a thread for the watch that is arguably as popular as the Submariner (at least on this Forum). So to all owners of GMT Masters, past and present, let's see what you got! A couple of shots to get this thread off the ground. Sorry, no pun intended.
