Introducing: The Montblanc Heritage Chronometrie Collection Twincounter Date
Yesterday we talked about the new Montblanc Heritage Chronométrie Annual Calendar Chronograph, and today we are taking a look at the new Montblanc Chronométrie Collection Twincounter Date wristwatch – an equally elegant, well-made, and affordable watch to be officially released at SIHH in a few weeks.? 1 OF 2 Montblanc, as you may know, has had quite a major resurgence in recent years in their design and quality. They have released some pretty cool watches of late, including the 1858 Chronograph Tachymeter, the Villeret Tourbillon Cylindrique Geosphères Vasco da Gama, and the Heritage Chronométrie Quantième Annual Calendar. As Ben mentioned yesterday, Montblanc CEO Jerome Lambert pulls a lot of his inspiration from his time at Jaeger LeCoultre and A. Lange & Söhne, and that is apparent in the design

NATOs NATOs NATOs for my CK2998
Finally, I got around to expanding my NATO collection specifically for my CK2998. I purchased these NATOs with the CK2998 in mind in terms of color and size. I have the original OEM strap plus the two other vintage blue leather straps from Colareb and Bulang&Sons but felt I needed something dressed down for weekends/summer.1) blue/red/silver (i picked this up even before my watch arrived. i took a chance that it would go and it does)2) grey (needed something under the radar - although not blue, the grey complements the blue/silver/steel)3) blue/white/orange (fun colors - the white isn't perfect but it works nicely with the orange)4) blue/yellow (perfect match - nautical colors!)I'm not a huge fan of bracelet (unless its my Rolex) but with 3 leather and 4 NATOs, I think the CK2998 will have a fighting chance to earn some wrist time!

Splotches/Marks on inner rim of steel under crystal
Hi Everyone,I recently purchased a GMT Master II from a reputable dealer I've done business with in the past - full kit - boxes, papers, great condition - really an excellent example of the 16710 pepsi bezel. It's an A serial and was purchased in 2000.One thing I noticed on a closer insepction upon receiving the watch, were some faint splotchy marks on the steel rim of the case, under the crystal, around the dial...almost looks like something has dried on that rim (though zero marks on the dial itself, which is it's normal shiny self). I'm attaching a photo which makes it seem much worse than it actually is, as I took it to highlight the issue. I was originally concerned about this, but then I took a look at a mid 90s Sub that a friend of mine had, and he also had some light splotching around the 1 o'clock mark...not as much as mine but still had some. Does anyone have any insight into this? What could be the cause for this? The dealer I purchased from said they would be happy to
