Survey Of The Vacheron Constantin Overseas Sport Watch History
The Hour Lounge is a serious enthusiast oriented forum dedicated almost wholly to Vacheron Constantin watches. If you ever have a questions about? Vacheron Constantin watches, The Hour Lounge is the place to go. I've enjoying talking with their members on occasion who I can easily say know far more about Vacheron Constantin watches that I do. The forum moderator Alex Ghotbi, has recently posted an extensive photo essay on the history of the Vacheron Constantin sport watch - basically the Overseas. What is now the range of Overseas watch models started as a unique angular cased watch in the 1930s.? You'll noticed the finely milled case looks incredibly modern, and you'll understand where the Overseas watch got its iconic looks. Over the 20th century the look of Vacheron Constantin watches slowly evolved, but retained mostly the same character.Alex dispels the myth that the famous ref. 222 Overseas model from the 1970s was designed by Gerald Genta. It was actually created by Jorg Hysek.

I want to wear a diamond
Recently, as per a thread that I started in the other Watch Topic section. I was thinking of getting a Rolex DD. To do that I would have to trade one of my Pateks -5127R or 5167A.Well, after a lot of thought and reading what other members said, I decided NOT to go with that idea. But then I happen to see Jorge's photo of his stunning 5146P and I was in horology love:banged:And the thought of getting one - ultimate PM marked by a diamond at 6 o'clock got me excited. As I would have to sell/trade + cash both of mine. What do others members think?Bad idea or not? Please feel free to include photos, just to help
Visiting Los Angeles soon...
Hello again all!I will be visiting Los Angeles California soon, and am wondering if there is anything watch related that you guys and gals would recommend as a place to visit?Anything in LA, or generally close to LA is viable I just want to see if I can make a few stops at watch places, and see and learn something new It doesn't have to be Rolex, and a place where they sell used or vintage watches would be interesting too.I guess I could sit and google things, but with so many experts on here, I want to hear your input! Many thanks in advance
