Archimede Introduces the Pilot XL Automatik
Following the launch of their 42mm Pilot and 39mm Pilot M, Archimede introduces the Pilot XL with a 45mm brushed stainless steel case. Below the anti-reflective coated sapphire crystal you’ll find a classic Pilot dial with luminous numerals and indexes and large, luminous, blued hands, providing excellent readability, even in low light. The 8mm crown compliments the case and makes winding and time setting a breeze. The case, measuring 10mm thick, is water resistant to 50 meters. The Swiss Eta 2824-2 automatic movement can be viewed through a screw-down mineral crystal display back. A solid case back is also available. The 22mm straps are soft leather with traditional white stitching and two rivets on each side. The Pilot XL on black or brown strap with transparent case back retails for �395.

I feel the need to talk about this event, even though I attended it in June (of 2007). I read WatchTime magazine and learned about a watch dinner (Inside Basel World) that was to be a recap of the events and news of Basel World 2007. For those of you who don't know, Basel World is the big watch trade show of the year held in Switzerland. The opportunity to attend an event like this in San Francisco was too appealing. $60 with dinner and a "goody bag?" Yea, I could not resist. It was being held about a month before I took the bar exam, at which point I would have done just about anything to get my mind off studying.Wearing a suit to the event, I assumed correctly how I am supposed to dress. Entering the World of AP and need advise....
Hey guys hope everyone here is well...Ive been a collector now for many years and wanted to pick the brains of you the experts with regards to AP...My collection so far includes Omega (Seamaster and SpeedyPro) Rolex (Vintage GMT 16750, 1680 Red, WG Sub Smurf and WG SkyDweller) and a Patek Philippe 5980R... Ive been after the Patek World Time Enamel dial 5131R but its proving impossible to get unless you are willing to spend double the retail price... Since there is no other Pateks which have my attention at the moment, I have turned to AP which ive been looking at last few years and not till last few months with the release of the new Royal Oak Perpetual in Steel its been on my mind and possibly could be my next purchase..My question to you guys here on the AP forum is what is your take on the new RO Perpetual?? And what do you feel about AP in terms of resale value on the secondary market?? Does AP hold its value over time??? I hear it doesnt but wanted to ask you guys here who have

Will sword hands fit a PO?
Just curious if anyone knows if sword hands (from a 2254.50 for example) will fit perfectly with a PO 8500?Thanks!
