Review of AP Royal Oak Skeleton Rose Gold 15305OR + DSLR Shots!
My third Audemars Piguet watch has turned out to be my most exciting and enticing timepiece till date. After having own it a month, it is time for a review and a full DSLR shot coverage to do full justice to it’s beauty. In this review, most of the close-up shots were taken with a Nikon 5100DSLR fitted with a Nikkor 105mm microlens. Others were taken using my new Fuji X-100S 35mm camera. Overview Skeleton watches have existed in horological history for eons. The art of skeletonization calls for stripping away the watch’s dial to reveal the beauty of the movement. High end watch makers like Audemars Piguet goes a step further by also extensively decorating the movement. In this case, a galvanized anthracite finish is applied to the movement parts. Help with this dial? PP 3541
This is my latest acquisition. A PP 3541, an automatic Cal 27-460From my research, It was produced from 1960 to 1968. I have found many of these REF in a variety of dial configurations; However, I have never found one with a BLACK dial, nor with three baton marker. My question is did I just stumble across the ultra rare? Or I did just throw my $$$$ out the window?
PAM 389 ticking intermittently?!
Hello all, just looking for some advice/experiences: Just picked up a P series PAM 389 in almost new condition and noticed it was running 10-15 minutes slow every hour. During a 30 second staring session I realized the second hand would move and stop, intermittently, and randomly. When the second hand stops, it only resumes movement after I pick up the watch and move it around or manually wind it. Any thoughts are welcomed. Thank you in advance.
BLNR or Daytona?
Have suddenly come upon the chance to get either one of these two at a retail price.Which one will be a better purchase in terms of long term value and 'iconic'ness?I have 2 rolexes right now - a sub date ceramic, and a vintage red sub.
Day date ii just because, who's still in the club ?
41 for life :) who else stayed large ? 20160722_203521_001.jpg
