Hublot Breaks Ground on Its New Manufacture
To accommodate its continued growth, and to further assist in the verticalization of its watch production, Hublot began construction of a second building that will more than double the surface area of its existing manufacture in Nyon, Switzerland. In a groundbreaking ceremony on March 3, Jean-Claude Biver, chairman of Hublot (and recently named president of the LVMH Group’s Watch Division), and Ricardo Guadalupe, CEO of Hublot, turned the first sod with shovels specially engraved for the occasion. This new unit, located right next to the original building, will be dedicated chiefly to the production of components for Hublot manufacture movements and the production of watch cases. The facility will house micro-mechanical workshops, a bank of CNC machines, and workshops devoted to decoration, electroplating, general mechanical and washing, among other disciplines. After-sales service and some administrative offices will also be installed in the new building, which is set to open in A
Epos GMT Limited Edition
The Epos 3400 GMT Limited Edition uses twin independent automatic ETA 2671 movements to present two time displays, each with a date. The primary time display at 9 o’clock uses a conventional three-hand twelve-hour display with center seconds and the date at 6 o’clock. The second time zone at 3 o’clock uses an Epos module to present a reverse or counter-clockwise 24 hour indicator with date. The stainless steel oval case with measures 40 x 47 mm. The twin crowns at 3 and 9 o’clock are set slightly into the case. The dial is black guilloche and the primary time display is white mother-of-pearl with applied roman numerals. The watch is also available without MOP. The front crystal is sapphire and a transparent, screw-down case back allows a view of the two movements. The 3400 GMT is limited to 999 pieces. You may click the images below to view larger versions.
Orange wearability
Hi.I hope that with all the knowledge on this forum somebody can help me with their experiences of owning and wearing an Orange leather strap on their Planet Ocean. At present mine, an Orange bezelled Chronogaph is on the Stainless steal bracelet. But I am getting very much into leather straps on my watches and wanted to buy the Orange leather on deployment as a change. My AD talked me out of it saying that he has had customers complaining that theirs are not wearing well, in fact the orange finish is coming off in places leaving white bleached leather beneath. I would like to find out if this is general fault with this colour strap before forking out 400 on one. Thanks Alan
Waterproof strap for radiomir?
I have started looking at the radiomir cased Panerais with the wire lugs and have a simple question. Are there waterproof straps available for them? I am not going to dive with it, but I do like to have a strap that can take anything. Leather is out of the question. Rubber would be fine, I use that on my 176. But some other material that you don't need to dry if it gets wet would also be fine, maybe nylon? I guess they all take 26mm straps? I googled it but it seems that I could only find straps for springbars, will they also be usable with the wire lugs? I assume you loosen the screws on the backside, slide the wires out, and then remove the wires somehow from the strap?
winding my 114060
Hi guys,I was wondering something that most of you will most likely knowWhen i am winding my 114060(when it stopped) i see that it cost me about 17-25 turns to get it ''moving'' so the second-marker doesnt start walking directly when i'm doing so... is this normal?
