New Colors for the Alpina Extreme Diver 1000 Meters
Last year Alpina launched its Extreme Diver 1000 Meters. For Spring/Summer 2009, Alpina introduces four new dials: Yellowtail, Orange Sunset, C?te d’Azur and Black Ocean. The Extreme Diver 1000 Meters has a 48mm black PVD steel case with a unidirectional rotating bezel displaying a luminous minute indication. The bezel measures elapsed time in minutes for the first fifteen minutes and then in ten minute segments after that. A luminous triangle marker highlights the 12 o’clock position. The watch also features an automatic helium escape value at 10 o’clock. The black dials offer optimized readability: Arabic figures, hands and applied indexes are coated with colored SuperLuminova. The date at 3 o'clock is displayed in a half-moon shaped aperture. Under the dial, the Alpina Extreme Diver 1000 Meters features an automatic movement with a power reserve of 42 hours. The movement, with its black rotor, can be viewed through a sapphire case back.Technical information appears
Rb2
Been loving the recent pics that have been posted of the RB2. Anyone know where I can find one to purchase? And if so, what price should I expect to pay for one?
Caring for a Breitling
So how do you guys care for your 'Lings? Do you use a winder? What if you actually use it for diving, how do you care for it after exposure to salt water? What do you use to clean a Breitling, just to get off the grime that accumulates after extended periods of daily use? Do you guys have any secrets or tips that you're willing to share? This is my first expensive time piece, and I really love it, so I want to make sure it stays well maintained. Thanks for any and all responses.
PP Strap Questions
Mates - How does the PP rubber strap in the heat / humidity compare to the PP Alligator strap ? Looking at a reference which comes with the alligator strap and trying to see if the heat would make it uncomfortable to wear. Any experience or comments would be helpful.
Slight concern? Help!
Earlier on i read this on watch club...Until 1976, Rolex would punch the year of production on the inside of the clasp, preceded by the Roman numeral denoting which quarter of the year it was produced, so, when we see the clasp code IV 68 we know that it was produced in the 4th quarter of 1968. From 76 onwards though the year was replaced with a lettering system (in a similar fashion to the case numbering system adopted in 1987). If the letter is prefixed with an S' it indicates if is a service replacement.I purchased a 116610LN last June brand new from my local AD, and my clasp number is S2Q, does that mean my watch has a replacement bracelet? Please help me on this one.Daniel Watson.
