Should I let it go?
Since the arrival of two classic Rolex models, an M/3186 GMT Master II and an M-series Sea-Dweller, my Liquidmetal PO has been getting very little wrist time. So little, that this week I began thinking of putting it on the market.I kept asking myself how I could justify having two black divers. After all, when the PO arrived, I sold my treasured 2254.50. Selling the Liquidmetal would permit fulfilling my goal of an M-series trifecta with the addition of the Datejust I have been considering. So this morning, I put the LM on my wrist for perhaps the last time.Fr. Questions about PP 5146p
Hi all,I think my next piece will be either a Patek or Lange. I'm looking at the PP 5146G with gray dial and 5146P. I tried on the 5146P at the AD and fell in love with it. I'm leaning towards the platinum version b/c I love the heft and find it less common than the gold version. What are your thoughts? My AD does not have the 5146g in stock so do you think I can get a good discount on the 5146P? Maybe 20-25%? Thanks for the help.
Hold Your Horses, Brace, Price Increases
I have word that the price increases for the new watches will be anywhere from 12% to 15%. Source says old watches will see 7-8% increases.Reasons cited are new bracelets, new designs, and new movements. It may be based on another rumor I dont know, but if these prices hold true the secondary market is going UP.Also, it seems that because of the new variety, models will be produced in smaller runs, and will be very difficult to obtain.
