My First Grail Watch: Kari Voutilainen
Welcome back to an original watches-dealer feature, "My First Grail Watch." In this series, we ask prominent people in the watch industry about the first timepiece that they lusted after. Today, we're speaking with Kari Voutilainen, a watchmaker who owns his exclusive brand, Kari Voutilainen.watches-dealer (ABTW): Who are you, and what is your relationship to the watch industry?Kari Voutilainen: I am first and foremost a watchmaker. I also have a watch company in which we are making our own in-house movements, as well as dials and hands. My production is extremely exclusive and I will keep it this way. Omega Speedmaster 3210.52
Hi,I have been wearing a Speedmaster date Chrono with leather strap for the last 5 years and it has been faultless! I am in the marlet for another Omega, I am keen on the 3510.52 but having a look on the forum I can't find another thread on this watch. Is it not a popular model? are there better ones out there for the same money? If any body can give me some advice and also any pics on the wrist I would be grateful.Cheers,Chris
Would you buy a new model Oysterquartz?
I've got an exciting incoming soon, after almost 10 years of toying with the idea of getting one but never quite being at the right place at the right time a ref 17000 is on the way. This got me thinking, given that Rolex did in fact develop two new Cal. to replace the date and day date OQ models in the early 00s but never went into full production, I imagine it would be relatively straightforward to release a new model. If that were the case, would you buy one and if so, what features would you hope for and at what price point?
