Nayla Hayek Named Swatch Group Chairwoman
Nayla Hayek has been named chairwoman of the Swatch Group Ltd., succeeding her father, Nicolas G. Hayek, who died of heart failure at Swatch Group headquarters in Bienne, Switzerland on June 28. She was elected by a unanimous vote of the board of directors on June 30. Previously, she was vice-chairman of the board. The move is doubtless the transition that Hayek Senior wanted. It ensures that the management of the world's largest watch company remains in family hands. Nayla Hayek's brother, G. Nicolas (Nick) Hayek, succeeded his father as Swatch Group CEO in 2003. Hayek Senior had two children. The fact that they now hold the two most important posts in the company that he founded guarantees that the policies and vision he put in place will remain.Nicolas Hayek Senior controlled 40% of the shares of the Swatch Group through what is called the Hayek Pool. My first AP is coming!
I purchased this watch on impulse, as I am leaving for Europe tomorrow. However, I got a great deal on it and now have a grueling 16 hour wait for the watch to be at my doorstep. As soon as it arrives, I will post some pictures. In the meantime, any guesses for what I got?

Joined the Royal Oak Club
I have to thank George and Alaina at Govberg Jewelers for the awesome customer service and giving me some Royal Oak love! I was in SF the previous week, and made the mistake of trying the Royal Oak on. Once it was on my wrist, I knew I had to have it. The person I dealt with in SF was kind of an arrogant a$$ and made me feel I was wasting his time by asking him questions. So I made a call to George, and was able to work out a trade plus cash to acquire my grail! I received the Royal Oak on Wednesday, and I just can't stop looking at it. The fit, finish, and quality of the watch is at a whole other level. I didn't realize how dangerous it was to own an AP, now I want a Forged Carbon diver for something a little more sporty. LOL Well on to the pics.

5227R acquisition
Having received the latest PP magazine, and perusing it's pages I saw the article on the new Calatrava, the 5227 and fell in love immediately with it. The next day I contacted Dave and 2 days later a package arrives via fed-ex........next to my 5107J....Thanks for your assiatance Dave.
