Royal Oak 15202st - Welding Marks
Hi All,I've recently acquired a 15202st full set with box papers. While it has been verified at the boutique, one thing that bothers me is the welding marks at the inner clasp.I did a quick search on the internet and found that there is a variation to this issue, some came without, some are semi-welded, and some are fully welded like mine. Appreciate if any 15202st owners (earlier model with single fold clasp) could chip in on this matterPics of the watch:Pics from internet (note the inner clasp)fully welded:Semi-welded:

The Beagle has landed....Snoopy FTW
I usually don't make incoming threads but I feel that this watch is special enough to make one to share with the Rolex folks as well:Like the title says, Snoopy has landed finally today (well yesterday to be exact but I had no time to pick up yesterday). Took a little time off work during work to make the drive down to Fashion Valley Omega Boutique to pick up this beauty. It was refreshing since I've been on a Rolex kick lately and forgot how much better the Omega Boutiques treat you compared to Rolex ADs. Big shout out and thank you to the guys who made this possible there (Robert/Jonathan). I inquired on the piece since September 2015 and was officially moved on to the allocated list in November 2015. I can say to all those still waiting the wait is worth every second and then some. This watch has to be seen in person to understand the minute details.....the multi layered custom enamel backing to give the space dust a 3rd dimension, the white yet almost metallic dial (it is def
First: First Post. First Patek. 5524G
I am a long-time collector with varied tastes and interests. I own only one Rolex (Explorer II Polar 42mm), and up until today, no Patek. I focused on some independents, some custom pieces, IWC, AP, Omega, Germans and others. Basically, I carefully collect what hits that nerve!I was smitten with the 5524G when it was introduced. I decided then, that I would own one, but would hold off and commemorate the sale of my business with this piece one day. At that moment, there was no specific timetable. Pleased to report the business transaction was finalized very recently...so...5524G here I come!I was able to find one (NIB) at an appropriate price with little drama. I picked it up today and am very pleased. The watch has been reviewed, discussed, photographed, by so many collectors and enthusiasts that I won't do so here. But I will share my first impressions, hours old now.The size, weight and wrist presence is a perfect match for my taste. I wear mostly sport/pilot/dive watches and am com
The Officine Panerai Logo..the True meaning by Eng. Mario Paci
The Logo OP represents the stylised beginning letters O and P of Officine Panerai name, but not only.Do you know which is the meaning of the two arrows, one towards up and one toward down? It’s very simple and intuitive. Officine Panerai, since the origins and up today, has been always specialist in manufacturing underwater products and landing aid systems. The firsts (wrist watches, compasses, depth-meters, tank level probes, mechanical timers for underwater mines and many others) were used under the sea.The seconds (Deck landing systems, Helipad lighting systems, Portable landing systems) were used on surface, for those arriving from the sky.The meaning of the two arrows: the one toward down shows the underwater products, the one toward up shows the products for who arrives from the sky.The OP Logo was born at the beginning of years ’80, designed by an Architectural Office of Florence and, in the first drafts, had a rounded form; Eng.
