Omega seamaster aqua terra chronograph
OMEGA SEAMASTER AQUA TERRA CHRONOGRAPHThe more I see it, the more it grows on me.......The OMEGA Seamaster Aqua Terra Chronograph model ref 2812.50.37 has a stainless steel case measuring 42.2mm which houses the chronometer-certified self-winding OMEGA calibre 3301 movement. It delivers a power reserve of 55 hours. The column-wheel mechanism ensures precision operation of the chronograph functions and the free-sprung balance without index guarantees optimum stability in timekeeping.Beneath the sapphire crystal with its' anti-reflective coating is the polished black laquer dial which contrasts finely with the facetted triangular hour markers and Dauphine hands, all of which are rhodium-plated and bearing SuperLuminova inserts on the hands and luminous dots towards the edge of the dial. Located in the 6 o'clock poition is a date window. With a polished stainless-steel bezel, screw-in crown and caseback, water resistance is rated at 150m/500ft.credit: Picture by Omega.ch

Help with purchase of used Calatrava 6000G
I am in the need of some urgent guidance from discerning Patek Phillippe owners. I am looking at buying a 2006 6000G, which seems to come at a good price being a tad over half of the current RRP. However, its case bears fine scratches, especially on the bezel, consistent with its age. The seller offered to have it professionally polished promising an as new outcome. The watchmaker charged with the task lightly polished one side of the case but declined to go further as he feared that a full polish would lead to a colour change. I have the opportunity to cancel the deal and am thinking on it overnight. This will be my first Patek and I am stretching the budget to buy it. Does one live with blemishes of the type especially at the price to be paid? Also, what to other members think of the the 6000G?
