Need some CK2998 help!!
I got the call that my ck2998 is in. Not 100% convinced I want it though. I am sure the value will go up after all pieces are accounted for - but I am not in the business of flipping watches. I will either pass on it or pick it up if I think I'll enjoy it. Thoughts??Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Where to buy in the UK?
Hi everyoneWhere/who is the best AD to buy from in the uk for discounts? I very nearly bought from a fellow TRF member but didn't at the last minute for a couple of reasons. But the more I think about it, the more I think I could get a good deal in the UK. The last time I bought a Seamaster it was from Ernest Jones, but they are only offering 10% off.I'm after a Seamaster blue Dial Co Axial 2220.80.00 full size. Want it new so I can peel the stickers off. Thanks in advance
Insurance on Watches
I wanted to see how many of you guys had insurance on your time pieces. I have only this one Panerai and I was thinking about getting insurance on it since I have insurance on the wife's ring in case it gets lost or stolen but wondered if it was worth getting on the watch.I got quoted at $755 a year for insurance to add it to my homeowners. As much as i love the piece of mind I am wondering if it's really worth it. At that rate I could just save it up and buy a new watch in a few years lol.EDIT: Just heard back about insurance. That was the price of everything I have on the policy together lol. Other Jewelry, homeowners etc...not just the watch alone...sorry guys.
Thought the SD43 was the one but...
it's a little too large and heavy. Purchased BNIB, I've only worn it twice. Thought I'd love the size and all, but it's larger than I thought it would be and the added weight is noticeable. Am I crazy or what? I really think a SubC date is the right one for me. I've tried one on before and I really think that would be a better fit. What do you guys think?
New To The Club (116610 & 116523)
It's been a big couple of weeks for me. Entered the club with the 116610 luckily in stock from my local AD.Turns out the Sub had either dust or a flake from the lettering loose inside the crystal; I noticed it within five days. Took it back to the AD a few days ago and they sent it back to Rolex for inspection and remedy. The AD felt pretty bad for missing the issue before selling to me so they offered a discount on something else. I took them up on it and picked up the Daytona to complement.Pretty content for now...or I should say I'll be content once I get my Sub back. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
