AP Concept and Tourbillon Thread
I've rekindled my love for the brand and am thinking as part of my consolidation efforts of going for a really high end AP. Obviously, I'd have to buy right and carefully, but I like the idea of being stuck in a piece and not able to flip every few months as I have with more temptingly liquid references. The concepts and tourbs don't get too much talk around here, but if anyone has any experience or impressions, I'd love the insight!
15703 Diver Bezel
I was wondering if anyone happened to know the cost of a new steel bezel for the 15703 diver. Has this been a scratch magnet for the Diver enthusiasts? If so, would like to see some banged up pics
Offshore 44 strap question
Just love my new ROO RG 44. Question for those of you with them, for my wrist I am in the second or third hole from the start. This leaves a little more strap past the end of the buckle than I normally have on other straps. How does this compare to most wearers of this watch. I think I read somewhere a shorter strap is available? This is my first rubber strap, do they break in or stretch any?
WINNERS of Mr. H's 2012 Audemars Piguet Photo Contest
The winners are finally here!!! As mentioned by Ken on my other thread there are really no losers as everyone did a fantastic job with their photos. I can only wish I had more watch related stuff to giveaway to everyone that entered this year's contest. It was definitely a tough decision!!! A last minute decision was made and I have added a fourth place winner.I would like to thank our moderator Mailman (Paul) and our photo expert and friend Jocke for their help. I wish Dalip or Ken would've also been able to assist, however, Dalip is super busy right now and Ken was an incumbent. Drum roll, the winners are:1st Place goes to Peppers901st Runner Up: orangedial2nd Runner Up: kilyungFourth Place: Steelerfan65Winners please PM me the address where you would like for me to send you the prizes. My new 372
This is my new PAM372 which I have bought used. It's a November 2016 model in great condition. It has the plexiglass which was a must have for me as I love the warm refractive index of plexiglass over the sapphire crystal fitted on the new 2017 models. It's pretty big on my wrist but I think it works and that's difficult to convey in photos. I love the vintage qualities of this watch - the 1950's cushion case, the so called dirty dial. It's big but highly elegant and stylish with bags of military chic. I have an aftermarket strap fitted for now. The watch came with the extra plexiglass but not the original straps. I'm getting Richard at Toshi to make me a couple of nice straps and I also fancy the Panerai calf assolutamente fitted on the current model. I'll post some photos from my Tapatalk app.
