Stallone Wears Carl F. Bucherer Patravi TravelTec Watch
Here is some shameless "Stallonage." Sly dons a Carl F. Bucherer Patravi TravelTec GMT watch during the European premier of the Expendables II movie (in Germany I think). I must admit that I am really looking forward to seeing the film - especially because Arnold will be more prominently featured in it. Hopefully he will get some battle damage to show his metallic?Schwarzenegger innards.Sylvester hasn't had the easiest last few months as his son Sage Stallone died of what I believe was a drug overdose in LA. That's got to be rough as I understand Stallone was a good dad to a kid that couldn't quite standup on his own two feet. It can't be easy living in Rambo Balboa's shadow.Stallone is well-known for being a serious collector of things from watches to belt buckles. He loves his gadgets and as an icon has helped make a lot of watches popular. Most notable of course was his role in getting Panerai watches popular among his peers in Hollywood. He was also one of the leaders in the "large
Tag Heuer formula 1 watch the queue and I like that
This is the entry level, a more basic model in the newly refreshed Tag Heuer formula 1 watch the queue and I like that. I am still fainting on the watch Tag Heuer formula 1 Grande Date, with other more recent timepieces of formula 1. The collection did not saw what a good or fees for the years 1980.
Traveling with nice watches
I usually like to bring 1-2 nice watches with me on trips unless I'm going to a 3rd world type country. I'm leaving for Bordeaux France in a few weeks and I'm trying to decide which watches to bring. Now typically if we were visiting a large European city I'd def go with something more low-key... i.e. something in steel and no Rolexes and nothing gold. This trip we will be doing mainly wine tours and eating at nice restaurants in the French countryside... not even spending any time in Bordeaux city other than to land. Would my 44mm ROO rose gold be to flashy for French wine country? My other option would be a 42 mm IWC Chronograph Classic in rose gold for a more reserved look. I also plan on brining one of my 44 mm Panerai's for a casual watch. Or maybe just stick with one Panerai and call it a day? Wish I had a 41 mm Royal Oak chronograph in steel... that would be perfect for this trip.Do most of you go more low-key with timepieces when traveling or do you just bring whatever you want

Patek 2017 Basel pieces (plus) viewing and some thoughts
I got I try on some real beauties last night at the Patek 2017 Basel pieces viewing, as well as some current production pieces. All were great. A small write-up of each. 5170p (Stunning on the wrist, and extremely comfortable. Great size and weight balance. The gradient blue dial is just perfect. And the baguettes are subtle, and beautiful. The movement is intoxicating). 5320g (Another beautiful 2017 release. The case and lugs are meticulously detailed. The vintage feel is not overdone, offering a nice balance of new and old. This watch was well received by most at the event.)5524g (This was the first time I've seen this in the metal. It never was my favorite online, but on the wrist, it really is a special watch. While bigger than other Pateks, it was not too big. It fit nicely, and it's extremely legible. It's a fun watch). 5370p (Winner, winner! I saw one of these a few months ago, but it was double sealed, so I could only view it. Last night, I got to try it on. Perfection. The cas
