Stopped over in Curacao on a recent cruise, and spent a good bit of time in the local AP dealer there, trying on various RO and ROO models.Wow! Was really taken by the design and look of these watches, the level of detail and workmanship is first rate. I had not spend any significant time with AP prior to this trip. My DW really fell for the 47mm lady's offshore (that's gonna cost me down the road! ).The sales person who attended us was very nice, if not 100% knowledgeable about the watches. She stayed with us for more than an hour, and gave us a hardcover AP book when we finally left - even though she knew the prospects of an immediate sale were slim - our ship was leaving in a couple of hours.Anyway - what's holding me back at this point is the fact that I'm pretty happy with my Rolex sports models (the SubC gets most of the wrist time - best all-around watch I've ever owned). 324 SC movement issue - question
A few times in the past month my watch with the 324 SC movement has stopped around 11:45PM, despite having been worn all day, as though the movement doesn't have enough power to get over the hump of changing the date. After it stops, even after I wind it manually, the watch stops a few minutes or seconds later, short of midnight. If I reset the time to after the date change, the watch runs perfectly normally again. Does anyone know what is causing this? Does this just mean it needs a normal servicing?This used to happen once every few months and is now happening once a week or so. Most days it still works perfectly. The watch is worn at least 10 hours per day.

Im stoked! Currently wearing a black GMTII and looking for something larger for weekend and evening out wear. And diving of course! 6 people on the list ahead of me, but I doubt all will buy. Expecting about a year wait.
