15400ST Bezel Screws
Hi guys,I'd appreciate your input on the quality of the alignment and spacing of the screws on the bezel of the watch in the picture below. I have some concerns, but don't know if I'm imagining things or my standards are too high (!). I'm sorry the photo isn't bigger or better quality but it's all I have right now. You'll probably have to zoom in to see the screws properly. Thanks in advance for any feedback.15400ST_1 Blue.JPG
First: First Post. First Patek. 5524G
I am a long-time collector with varied tastes and interests. I own only one Rolex (Explorer II Polar 42mm), and up until today, no Patek. I focused on some independents, some custom pieces, IWC, AP, Omega, Germans and others. Basically, I carefully collect what hits that nerve!I was smitten with the 5524G when it was introduced. I decided then, that I would own one, but would hold off and commemorate the sale of my business with this piece one day. At that moment, there was no specific timetable. Pleased to report the business transaction was finalized very recently...so...5524G here I come!I was able to find one (NIB) at an appropriate price with little drama. I picked it up today and am very pleased. The watch has been reviewed, discussed, photographed, by so many collectors and enthusiasts that I won't do so here. But I will share my first impressions, hours old now.The size, weight and wrist presence is a perfect match for my taste. I wear mostly sport/pilot/dive watches and am com
Thoughts on the panerai 562 as a first panerai
Good morning gentlemen,I am a big fan of rolex but lately I seem to be attracted to panerai. I have a chance to acquire a new 562 but I am on the fence about it. I am not really careful with my watches and I love wearing them in all the time. My rolex watches have held up quite well and even cosmetically there are no really large marks on them despite having had a few close calls. I wonder if the 562, being made of titanium, will wear as well? I have read conflicting statements about how titanium watches hold their own against scratches (some say they scratch easily, while others claim self healing properties) so I thought I ask the group what their experience has been. This will be my first panerai and I would like this to be a keeper. Cheers, Carlos
Shall next one be A Red SD?
Dear All, Greeting from Thailand :-) I'm started my little collection of 4 watches (Datejust II Two tone slate green roman, Sub No date, Sub Green HULK, GMT MasterII BLNR) in past 3 years. I wondered is it a good idea to get the RED SD for my next purchase or shall I stop here. Temptation never ends 5555. Please give advice. For your information I got all from retail AD price (pairing condition ofcourse.). HULK paired with the TT DatejustII. BLNR paired with my cousin DATEJUSTII SS. AD managed to allow me to get SUB ND without pairing condition. If I'm going to get the RED SD retail price I must buy another Rolex watch too to pair up the condition of purchase which I don't have any watch I wanted. Thank you in advance for your advices.
Tudor Black Bay question
Would you purchase an old black bay, like 14-15 model (smiley face dial) with the old movement? or get the new one with the in house movement? and why one vs the other?? Trying to help a friend make a decision......
