Bell & Ross Unveils BR 01 Skull Bronze Tourbillon for Only Watch 2015
For its contribution to this year’s upcoming Only Watch auction of unique timepieces, Bell & Ross has created a bronze-cased version of its BR 01 Tourbillon, which also features a hand-engraved Jolly Roger image on its dial. Scroll down to read more on this one-of-a-kind watch that blends materials from the golden age of piracy with a modern, steampunk aesthetic. The Bell & Ross BR 01 Skull Bronze Tourbillon features a 46-mm square case, made of aged bronze and highlighted by a skull-and-crossbones-shaped bezel secured by four screws. Inside the borders of the bezel (itself a motif inspired by pirate flags) a hand-engraved Jolly Roger skull made of solid 18k gold rises from the relief, “wet-look” honeycombed dial, made from a copper base with black projection. Marathon General Purpose Mechanical LE Review
This little watch with military pedigree overcomes its small size and impresses with quality construction and wearability. When Marathon announced they were releasing a steel-cased remake of one of their military issued watches, I was excited to see what they had come up with.? When they said it would be a numbered limited edition, featuring new, old-stock Benrus-signed ETA 2801 manually-wound movements, I was even more excited. To finally see and wear the finished product is a treat, and one I'm happy to now share with our readers. Here's the Marathon General Purpose Mechanical.IntroductionAs discussed in our article about the Marathon Navigator, Marathon has been making watches for the US and Canadian armed forces for a few decades.? One of those was the GG-W-113 pilot's watch.? Produced in limited number in the mid-1980s, the Marathon GG-W-113 differs from other watches made under this specification by Hamilton and Benrus, the main difference being the large, curved case with integr
Came back to AP today
Fed up with what to me was a delicate scratch magnet I sold my 26320 10 months ago and consolidated my collection with 4 rolex. My wife is a big AP fan and I have always wanted a novelty however circumstances never allowed. I received a good trade offer a few weeks back and waited patiently whilst this went through the premature B1 water resistance test and got a BNIB GP strap fitted but today another grail hit my collection and I wanted to share with any potential buyers wondering how a 44mm watch fits on a 7 3/4 wrist.I'll be doing a short write up on my grails on the Rolex forum in the next few weeks but here is in my opinion the perfect AP ROO
Any Omega guys have any experience with this model?
I've always been on the fence about Speedmasters until today, I tried this on and fell in love!! The weight, stainless bezel, etc. The smaller LE would be nice but I can't wean a 38.5. This watch was perfect! Any pics or experiences with any 57s?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
