Armin Strom Tourbillon Gravity Fire Watch With Micro-Rotor
Whatever you may think of the practicality of a tourbillon in a watch, there's no escaping that they are quite a visual treat to watch while they work away. Normally when a watch has one, though, that's all you really see of the movement from the dial side. The folks over at Armin Strom give us more of a show, however, as they follow the design direction it's namesake founder (a Master Skeletonizer) set for the brand 40 years ago. Their latest gives us another treat that I don't know I've ever seen visible from the front of a watch. The trick that the Armin Strom Tourbillon Gravity Fire (ref RG14-TF.M.90) has up its sleeve is a micro-rotor. As you might suspect, a micro-rotor is simply a smaller version of the rotors we're used to seeing in an automatic watch; these usually lead to a thinner watch than you might normally have as well.In this watch, Armin Strom makes the micro-rotor plainly visible over at the 4 o'clock position. What should I do?
Hello TRF,I woke up and noticed the pin in my bracelet is coming out.. should I bring it to a local watchmaker or should I sent it to an official AP dealer to fix it?What do you guys think?Verzonden vanaf mijn iPhone met Tapatalk
Any jewelers that can polish AP bezels?
Guys i have a 18K rubberclad and i want to remove the rubber and have the bezel polished. The bezel is already off the watch. I know lots of shops/jewelers have done this. Does anyone know of anyone i can send the bezel to? AP themselves wont do this.

Calatrava, Nautilus, Aquanaut, or ???
For months I've considered upgrading my meager two-watch collection, currently comprised of a stainless steel Breguet Marine and a rose gold JLC MUT Moon. I've initiated several forum threads during my search and have received many kind replies from TRF members.I initially focused upon a yellow gold Rolex Day-Date because I had the opportunity to buy a new one from an AD at a reasonable price. But I wasn't sure how the Day-Date would fit into my collection and which occasions might be appropriate for wearing a Day-Date. Is the Day-Date a flashy casual watch, a flashy special occasion watch or just over-the-top flashy? Don't get me wrong, I really like the Day-Date and often wish I owned one but, on the other hand, I'm not absolutely sure it fits my self-image. But if I did buy a Day-Date I would keep my other two watches.I eventually realized that I could buy a Patek Philippe for the money I was about to spend on a Rolex. With the guidance of forum members I discovered the b
