Nautilus too big?
I am on the search for a Patek, either a Nautilus or an Aquanaut.I'm considering the 5712, 5726, or the 5990 from the Nautilus range, and the 5164 from the Aquanaut range.I have small wrists (6.5) and although I am ok wearing a big watch when 'big' suits it (I.e. An AP Diver) I'm not keen on watches that are designed to 'wear normally' looking too big for a wrist.Having looked at lots of pictures, the 5726 seems to wear quite big, bigger than the 5712, although this also seems to wear bigger than the Aquanaut. The 5990 is a little different as it looks like it's designed to wear bigger and looks a bit more rugged by design, although I could be wrong.I hope I've made sense, but given that I may have to buy blind due to limited availability to try on, if any of you guys have a view, it would be most appreciated.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Should we wait to buy more Pateks?
-Any of you sitting back on purchases based on the economy and watch market?I ask because every few years I'm fortunate to travel to Asia and have built a relationship with a dealer. This means I can score a blue 5711 or a 15202st and buy new below what these sell for used in the USA. At the same time, I already have a couple of PP and so I wonder...Just curious,J
1990's Patek Calatravas
I got assigned a new attorney from my work and my attorney has a Patek Calatrava from when he graduated law school. The Patek was given as a gift from his father for graduating law school. He allowed me to wear his watch on for a picture for the forum. Gorgeous watch!
5127 vs 3998
All: Bought a great 5127 a month or two ago. I have normal wrists (~7 1/4) but am wondering about trading down for a 3998. Anyone do the same - and anyone happen to have a pic of both side by side? And is the 3998 a huge quailty downgrade? Thanks a million!
Incoming... kinda sorta...
Don't hold your breath as my wife is not letting me open or use it until after Christmas. She sent me a tracking number of an item - I'm not exactly sure if it's a watch, or a Rolex for that matter... but per the FedEx tracking, it's signature required. I️ honestly do not think a new pair of jeans will require a signature for delivery.I am so tempted to open it but afraid she will know and get angry. She's still the best wife to me but man, this is torture! Grrr!!Any guesses?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
